I know that American Idiot is a 'rock opera' story as an album concept but still my opinion is the trailer doesn't show much in the way of a storyline. From what I hear it's an amazing show and if it's ever on the west end I'd love to see it hence my interest and watching of this trailer to get a better feel for the musical and being disappointed at it's lack of content.

I just saw AMERICAN IDIOT this week @ St. James and it was every bit as amazing as I expected it to be from watching clips and interviews. IT WAS GREAT!!! I am an EXTREME Green Day fan and I found that I really like also the show version of many of the songs. Very well done. The cast has amazing voices. i want to see it again . . . maybe

The staging and lighting look fantastic. It'll be interesting to see the Broadway interpretation. It shouldn't be very different because they have the same principle cast. Although it got mixed reviews, there is definitely a spot for American Idiot at the Tonys simply for the incredible visuals!

Yes, I did see the show, and I think it needs a lot of work. My opinion is just as valid as anyone else's; I'm sorry if it offends. I'm a big John Gallagher, Jr. fan, and I was pleasantly surprised to see so many other familiar faces and lovely voices in the cast. That doesn't change the fact that I found several elements of the production to be unfortunately and painfully bad, though. I applaud the effort, but I can't agree that it's a brilliant show.
