  • Picking mine up friday. With matching Marshall cab. Ill post a video once Im dialed in. nice job on the video.

  • does MARSHALL MG STOMPWARE work with this?

  • @14ax2

i'm not sure, looks like the stompware is for the current 4th generation MG series.

  • what did u use to record?

  • @guiatrandbuilderman

details in the description, then into a presonus firestudio > pc > Reaper audio software.

  • Theres nothing wrong with these amps its the cheap cabs and speakers that make them sound like crap. If you own one use another cab or speakers.

  • did u jumped with that amp and this box from a plane from 220feet? lol

  • I've heard this riff before..What is it?

  • @damnbacon88

Molly Hatchet - Boogie No More

  • Can anyone describe how loud this is?

  • @THExWYLDExONE

These amps get as loud as you would ever need; or louder than you would want them to. Depends on if your playing it or listening to it.

  • This is the only YouTube video that shows how good these amps can sound.

  • this amp paired with a digitech gsp1101 is a bad ass combo

  • marshall mg100hdfx is a great amp. has a great sound and a nice punchy tone. i dont know why people dont like it, maybe they just dont know how to work an amp. marshall mg100hdfx beats many other amps!

  • @horrormovies88 Same here, I love mine. I can get any sound that I want.

  • What do you think of your GFS Vintage 59 pickups?

  • @guitardbucket

the GFS vintage 59 was my main bridge pickup in two different guitars for a few years, i only recently replaced it with a gibson '57 classic.

  • @sloanstewart Thanks for the reply. I have a Les Paul-style guitar I'm looking to put some vintage-type pickups in as I already have a couple guitars with hotter pickups and I want this other guitar to have a little bit of a different sound. Before I was considering the Vintage 59, but now I think I'm deciding between the Alinco IIs and the Retrotron Vintage Nashvilles.

  • Tube amps for the win! Mesa Dual Rectifier is beast and so are peaveys.... I love my mesa....i dont like marshall amps but there cabs are sweet!

  • THIS AMP SUCKS I OWN IT AND IM STUCK WITH IT!:(

  • @MrRandy1971

I am not a fan of the MG series, but if you get one used really cheap it might be worth keeping for a backup or practice.

  • @sloanstewart if i buy a full stack for 650 would that be good?

  • @sloanstewart I just bought my used MG100HDFX and it is awesome! I dont know what you all are talkin about, I play in a hard rock and heavy metal band and it definitely serves the purpose, sure the distortion isnt as good as most amps, but it does crank more if you turn it up (; believe me I cranked it to 1 o clock posistion and i had buzzed hearing.

  • @MrRandy1971 just get a pedal lol thats what im doing

  • @MrRandy1971 Why does it suck?

  • @MrRandy1971 ur insane prob dont know how to work the equipment. this amp sounds great!

  • @horrormovies88 No and yes this amp sucks Took back to GC 3 years later got line 6 way better amp

  • @MrRandy1971 well im playing it right now and it sounds great, has a great tone

  • Sounds decent to me... and for those high rollers...back off people who cant afford tube amps.

  • @OmniDjent

The sad part is that for the price you would pay for this, you can get a decent tube amp.

  • @sloanstewart

Not from where I come from.

  • @sloanstewart wtf are you talking about? what decent tube amp, other than a jet city, which is still $200 more, can u get??

  • @sparkles67

    buy used.

peavey windsor, vtm, classic series, ultra. crate stealth, bluevoodoo, v series. bugera 333xl, 6260, 1990 etc. fender bassman ten. laney combos, b-52 at-100. egnater tweaker. blackheart stuff.

there's probably more but this should give one an idea.

  • @OmniDjent it is possible to get decent tones out of MGs, however, being able to afford a tube amp is not an issue if you're buying a MG halfstack. you can get decent tube amps cheaper which may be smaller, and may have a lower wattage, but they can just do the job a lot better because they are just better quality. i actually think tube amps are better value for money - it takes a lot more engineering to get a solid state to sound great, and you have to pay more for it.
