@rorscachbestbud123 I've looking for it literally everywhere. It says that some guys Michael Linnen and David Wingo did the original score, but I can't find anything about them or this soundtrack online...
cala108 that movie was a ten hits it face the other bad teenager and older adult has to going back in the time future talk about there struggle problems. but in that at the time he is handsome.
great, great movie! Very realistic. This film shows the cycles of mania and outcomes of the choices of what rage can bring. Me being a manic person myself, I loved this movie. intense. great acting performences.
this isn't to offend anyone, its just how I feel and I'm not saying that every rape victim will eventually find someone who would treat them right. anyway it makes me sad how in eleven minutes by paulo coelho, the girl resorts to hookering herself since she felt no one could ever love her..and eventually she finds someone who says something like how her body isn't his alone but he can conquer her soul. I hated the ending, I guess because if hookers could eventually find such ppl, why can't I...
I been touched and had suggestive talks that traumatizes me but I guess just because I wasn't raped, I'm not taken seriously. I give up telling anyone about my issues. It always falls on deaf ears. its not surprising that sometimes I've found myself wishing that I was raped, what would it take for someone to notice me, because nothing doesn't. all these books, movies, it paints a false pretext that people like me could find someone, it all gets broken down, and people will be picky
ha, I wish I had a guy who would trash people for me. why are some girls so lucky? sigh. soulful-eyed rape victim..its sad how people can be so picky on the kind of girls to date. if you been rape, you'll highly wind up eventually with someone who would love you for you. I'm getting tired of reading about how these girls seem to have such great understanding bf's. good for them but why are guys so picky? must one's issues be hardcore enough to be considered as a broken girl that needs love?
@justadude95 Yeah Lyle asks Mike if he saw her. Mike asks if Lyle raped her and says she's asking for it so Lyle follows him to his room and beats the shit out of him.
all these kids are fucked up.....what's the cure? too bad this film had no answers for that other than their cheesy slogan "you can't runaway from yourself." but what's the answer? in the end lyle does runaway from himself.
@Missimagination261 Lyle had a moment where he understood what he would have to do. I think. He saw the picture and realized nothing will change unless he actually tries to change it. That was his thing to work for, to keep him going, freedom. Being truly free from his rage. He was leaving, but really, he wouldn't have gotten anywhere. So he went back to change things so that he really could. That's what I got from it anyway..
(500) Days of Summer is a good movie. It's a love story, but it's not cheesy at all and it's pretty funny at points. both JGL and Zooey are great in it. :) I haven't seen Inception yet, but I've heard nothing but good things about it. Apparently it's a total mindfuck, which is awesome. lol
Ummm tracy gets nightmares because her dad raped her? Remember she talked about it before, about what happens to her at night? So obviously she was scared of Lyle when he surprised her in the middle of the night. It doesn't mean that mike raped her.....random muchh
@justadude95 i think Mike raped her before and lyle figured it out. Maybe thats why Tracy gets nightmares and also why she was so very frightend when Lyle 1st got in her room
@stagesofcoma I didn't realize my comment was flagged as spam.I don't know why I just quoted what was mentioned in the movie but was missing here(censored it too)..I guess some people just don't get it
The reason why Manic is an Outstanding movie is because of the message in Manic which is to trust in God, Open up to the people around you, facing your problems or demons and if you do that you will reclam your life.
i remember when i first saw this movie i was like only nine or eight years old and it was back in 2005 when i saw this movie, one day i was at my aunts house and then i was flicking threw channels to channels then i saw this on stars or HBO i don't remember but all i know is it was on one of them and i started to watch it and all u see is some kid just going crazy and he's yelling at his mom saying he doesn't need any help lol i was laughing ode hard no homo
What song is it at the end? I've been looking for it everywhere! If anyone knows where to download it or what it's called pleeeaaase tell me. :( but i love this film.
dude u could look up the songs on wikipidia just type in manic and then scroll down to the bottom of the page and then their you'll see all the songs and other shit like the people that stared in the movie all kinds of crappy shit lol but umm yehh that's how u get the songs lol
It reminded him of Chad, and what he had to say. He said the roads didn't lead anywhere, illustrating that Lyle can escape the institution, but he can't escape his problems. Chad was afraid to be let out, thinking that there was nothing waiting for him on the outside. Lyle decided to wait until his anger was fixed, be fore he got ready for the world.
I actually kinda liked the ending. To me it was like once he saw the painting he knew the only way to be free like those birds was to go back and deal with his problems. Not to mention nice music to go along with the scene. :]
I think that this ending just means, he is ready to go back and try to heal. Her realized that no matter where he went, things would still be the same. He could't just run from the problem. So really, you should be happy. Just think about it.. I hope that interpreation makes you feel better!
Thanks so much for uploading this (I was looking for it everywhere), it's a great movie :)
(And yes, I'm pretty sure that he's heading back to the institution thing, because he realizes that running away isn't going to really change or fix any of his problems)
Yes he is. When I saw this movie for the first time, the ending confused me, too. If you pay close attention to what Chad and Sara are saying during their argument over the Van Gogh painting earlier, that conversation is what made Lyle go back to the institution.
I can't get over how fucking real this movie is. I've been hospitilized 5 times before and it's trippy to see how these kids deal with their stay. Like with Tracy saying goodbye to Sara. Whenever you go you always find that buddy to confide in and shit but when they leave it's somewhat painful because you (well at least in my case) don't ever get to see them again. :(
Can anyone tell if Tracy and Lyle continue to stay together once Lyle comes back? That's what I thought they did, but my friend says the looks they give each other in their last scene is supposed to represent how they are no longer together. I hope he's right, because Lyle does NOT deserve to be her boyfriend. The fact that he's good at kissing does NOT make up for the whole "Pushing her against a wall and screaming at her" incident.
The dude has problems damn they just can't be fixed with a pill. And hes prolly scared to love/care for anyone considering everyone he did love/care about either ditched him or hurt him!
i love this movie more that i love gummy worms....yumm. this is like one of my favorite movies and i am soooo thankful you posted it or else i would be robbing the video store rigth about now. lol jk
Lyle went back because the painting reminded him about what Chad had said bout it and about Amsterdam. Chad mentioned that the road in the painting doesn't lead to anywhere. Also, he realized what Dr. Monroe was getting at by not running from your problems, because they are always going to be within you. It is as if you are always headed down an endless road. Joeseph shows his maturity and growth by going back and facing the consequences.
This is movie just blew me away. Thank you for sharing this treasure with us. There is no I can think of besides children that shouldn't see this flim.
someone PLEASE post a link to the sound track...its ama song i know is headup by deftones which is plsyed during the community music hour when everyubody gets wild....powerful, beautiful scene

Thanks for the movie and filling us in on the 15 seconds missing. Very good movie; big fan of Joseph Gordon-Levitt, def my inspiration and motivation to acting.
What's the song played at the end when Lyle starts walking away down into the forest ?
I saw this movie on TV once, but a while ago: If I remember correctly, Lyle asks Mike about Tracy, Mike says some shitty thing about her, so Lyle starts kickin' his ass. An intense and meaningful explosion, but you're only missing about 15 seconds.
Holy fuck, that was one of the best movies i have ever seen. I was confused though, at the end of part10 Lyle is like "Have you seen Tracy?" And then I started Part11 and Lyle was beating the shit out of that kid.... what did I miss im-between there???
my friend said that micheal says "have you raped that bitch yet cuz i will if you don't" when lyle asks him where tracy is. i guess it was cut out of this clip.
thanks soo much. i love joseph gordon-levitt movies. this one was soo good and made me cry. just shows you not to run away from your problems, even though it's hard, if you really try you can get through each step
What the hell happened at the end of part 10? Looks like part was cut out or something...I'm curious. Did that one dude rape Tracy or something? 'Cause next thing I knew, he was getting the shit beat outta him.

Thanks for the movie and filling us in on the 15 seconds missing. Very good movie; big fan of Joseph Gordon-Levitt, def my inspiration and motivation to acting.

I saw this movie on TV once, but a while ago: If I remember correctly, Lyle asks Mike about Tracy, Mike says some shitty thing about her, so Lyle starts kickin' his ass. An intense and meaningful explosion, but you're only missing about 15 seconds.

Yea he said something to the tune of "Nah, did you rape that crazy bitch yet?" and then smiled..

Holy fuck, that was one of the best movies i have ever seen. I was confused though, at the end of part10 Lyle is like "Have you seen Tracy?" And then I started Part11 and Lyle was beating the shit out of that kid.... what did I miss im-between there???

My favorite part of this movie was that very well deserved ass beating. For kids like Mike that is the best psychiatric treatment.

my friend said that micheal says "have you raped that bitch yet cuz i will if you don't" when lyle asks him where tracy is. i guess it was cut out of this clip.

What the hell happened at the end of part 10? Looks like part was cut out or something...I'm curious. Did that one dude rape Tracy or something? 'Cause next thing I knew, he was getting the shit beat outta him.
redrumchinawhite 3 years ago
He said something like "you rape that screaming ass bitch yet? You know she wants some." And he snapped.
