@forth1102 Oh fuck off mate. You miss the point. These guys could spunk into a miked up glass test tube and make timeless work. You are either A) troll or B) a cunt
@forth1102 Oh fuck off mate. You miss the point. These guys could spunk into a miked up glass test tube and make timeless work. You are either A) troll or B) a cunt! You are probably the type of gutless middle class prick Youth once tried to kick the shit out of!
@CONSIDERABLYMORE1 Shut the fuck up. I like the song a lot. I just think it could be better. It's just an opinion. I am a big killing joke fan. You're the one whose getting defensive like a little bitch.
@forth1102 ninny? ninny? LOL. Listen mate, Killing Joke have "gatherers" not fans. So yes, by describing yourself as a "KJ fan" sums you up really. KJ transcend pointless wannabe muso rubbish about production values. You totally miss the point. Get back to Linkin Park and Good Charlotte or whatever the fuck "well produced" shit really turns you on.
The Fire Dances album was the record that first got me into Killing Joke, at the age of 15. It was never off the turntable - I became truly obsessed by this intense, original and talented band! Killing Joke's sound has never dated, and they still continue to make music of great passion and vitality. I haven't seen them live since 2006, though. I got rather fed up hearing Psyche, Wardance etc (as great as they are) time and again, while the band neglected too many great songs from other eras.
This album is the soundtrack to the final class shwodown in the UK. I 1983 the massed ranks of the workers were lining up against Thather's state terrorists for the battle that would commence a year later. This album accompanied that period for me. Why this was never a single is a crying shame. Imagine this on TOTP!
The production sounds distorted, the base and drums sound like they're muted.

@forth1102 you cannot "shit up" if you are communicating in writing (as opposed to the spoken word). A small point, but worth making.

@CONSIDERABLYMORE1 I didn't ask you to "shit up" either way you ninny!

Killing Joke are one of those bands where everyone involved has a major role in the music. And it shows, as they are an amazing band.
