  • Frank Tashlin is my HERO. I did some research on him for a school project and found that not only did he leave school at 13 (something I wish I done) and have the job that I'm hope to be in one day, but was basically a drifter and we have a very similar personality. I wish I could of met him. I have a fealing we would of been friends if we did.

  • @blukmage19R Why can't he go after Foghorn?

  • Carl stalling's style already showed in his first cartoon.

  • "Looney Tunes" were produced in black and white from their conception in 1930, through the end of 1943, 'TPD'. If you see a "colorized" version of one of those, then it was achieved by computer...or that horrible "retraced" animation, by Korean animators, in 1970-'71 TV reissue prints.

  • Wasn't this episode in color when I first saw it?

  • It seems like 1936-1937 was when the WB studio really started to mature. So many things happened at that time that contributed to that. The arrival of Mel Blanc (in '37), Stalling, and Tashlin. (as mentioned below). Things really started to get more fast paced and funnier.

  • The first for Frank Tashlin AND Carl Stalling.

  • looks like the 1st chicken was stolen 4 months before this short was in theaters according to Wikipedia.
