@seetherfan1328 Have you tried Dropbox? (Free from dropbox.com) You can either put photos in a 'Public' folder and email your dad the link, or install Dropbox on both yours and your dad's computer and create a 'Shared' folder. The former is the simplest option. Hope that helps. ;-)
@nagualdesign yeah we both have that already... but my dad's pretty lazy when it comes to doing things himself. sure i made the pictures but he wants me to resize them too.
I've followed everything you mentioned and am getting an error message with some of the files whilst resizing - "I am unable to create a file in this folder. Please check your access rights to this location I:\Rutland Productions - 35mm slide production\Alan Moorhouse - July 2011\New Scans\Medium Res\JPEG"
I'm running a brand new computer running an iCore 5 processor with all the bells and whistles, so don't think that is an issue. Any ideas?
This is SO awesome! My husband knew I had done batch resizing in the past and asked me how to do it. Of course, I hadn't done it in a year or so and could not remember to save my life. After 1/2 an hour of trying in vain to figure it out on my own (I was hung up on thinking it was in Automate, Batch and never tried Scripts!), I googled and found this video. Clear, concise, and just what I needed to know. Thanks, Photoshop Samurai!! Now my husband thinks I'm a real tech babe. :-)
Brilliant ty for your tutorial after trying to find how 2 resize in book that i bought decided 2 go on u tube. found ur page many thanks for saving me hours!
i'm tryin to resize all of my photos to 800x600 i did your process but the images asn't saved as 800x600 though, so i just wanted to know what's the solution to this problem
hey can u help me please i've design a logos using adobe photoshop cs5, illustrator cs5 and firework cs5 to create 1 logos and i need to save the logos in a file that can be reuse or resize for all use maybe large as wallpaper or even small to use in business card with out the quality fade or blur so what file best to be save in or is there any action or tips for saving file?
Thank you SO MUCH! I had opened a bunch of photos that I wanted to batch resize, but then realized I had to save them all into one folder if i wanted to do that. Your video made me remember the image processor and how it can resize open photos in photoshop as well. Thanks a ton!!
This is a great video, I have one question though. Is there a way of batch resizing photos so that the larger dimension is resized to the size that is input? so, for example landscape photos would be 600 in width or portrait photos would be 600 in height.
Thank you...you saved my lots time and troubles .... I owe you beer lol

This is really neat. I wonder if there is a way to make a thumbnail (e.g. 100x100px square image) out of something that is rectangular (640x480px)?
