  • My 9 year old still toe walks she is on the spectrum. It has caused problems and now surgery is recommended. We are going to try a cast first if she will go for it.Do you have any suggestions?

  • @1ninjahottie @1ninjahottie In my opinion the casting helped a lot. Following the Casts he has been able to walk flat for nearly 6 months. We stretch him daily and he has physical therapy once a week. He also wears braces on each of his legs. Good luck!

~You can see him in his double casts on Youtube by searching "Tip-toe walker wearing double walking casts"

  • He kind of looks like he is walking with high heels on. I have a cousin who does this and I don't know if his parents are taking this seriously, but he can't run like a normal child and walks around on his tip toes constantly.

  • I used to walk on my toes ALL the time when i was little, and I have no problems

  • I have a friend who has a daughter who has done this for 11 years now and has not other problems, plays sports does well in school.

  • We are still waiting on a diagnosis. The Doctors have been discussing Asperger's. He spent near 6 weeks of the summer in Casts. It has helped tremendously. He now is able to walk flat, with gait trouble. I will be uploading more recent videos soon.

  • Hi, have you got a diagnosis now?

  • It is common in MD and MS.It can represent shortening of the Achilles tendon and/contractures. A Neurologist may be able to help eliminate MD.
