  • This is honestly one of my favorite books..

  • Did you know that Dr.Seuss made this book on a bet? I don't really remember what the bet was about, but this book was born from a bet. That I know of. Still, bet-made or not... it's still a heck of a good book.

  • @KazRefu101 I think you're thinking of Green Eggs and Ham because someone bet him, he couldn't write a book with 50 words..

  • I love this poem.

  • LORD FARQUAD

  • @wearewhowearent well it is a kids book and youll find this in the childrens section on any bookstore. and probably the most important one in the book store too. adults are idiots, kids will appreciate and learn from this more

  • John Lithgow should narrate all Dr. Seuss books.

  • This is a perfect example of why Dr Seuss wrote books. He was challenged by his university professor to present a serious topic in a rhyming pattern for kids. He loved the idea and never stopped writing them. If you notice, most if his books have a serious message behind them.

  • 1:31 Narrator-gasm

  • this is what i wrote my college essay on

  • @katsika7 oh how did it go ! how cool ! wish u best

  • It annoys me how everyone just assumes it's a little kids book, because it's by Dr. Suess.

  • @wearewhowearent this isnt a kids only book its a perfect inspiration and I am happy if we teach our kids that since young age if they grow up with this in their mind :)

  • this book is everything you could possibly need to know in life :)

  • That sounds like John Lithgow as the narrator...

  • almost all my friends got this book when heading off to college. yes, its a kids book, but it has life lessons at any age.

  • @seheart I think it is especially meaningful for people leaving high school. You should watch a more adult version.

    /watch?v=ahv_1IS7SiE

  • @TheHamishbatten1995 I refuse to watch a more adult version

  • @TheGothicSora Why ?. It just has less of a "cartoony" narrator and adds fitting music.

  • @TheHamishbatten1995 because that eliminates the whole point. the "cartoony" narrator makes it better because you feel like you can do it. and imo the music is already fitting. it makes it feel like an adventure.

  • @links212

Well weren't alot of his books allegories for government oppresion, cold war, communism etc etc?
