I think the station bears some responsibility for this; there's no way he turned in a competent screen-test before they put him on. And besides his delivery, he clearly wasn't prepared on the material. I'd like to think they did part to make sure he was, but that person visible in the back of the set walking behind him with a coffee cup makes me wonder if the flakiness doesn't just begin and end with him.
