  • One of the great songs of the era. Teenager angst on permanent display.

  • Riding a bus from Lyon, France, on May 30, 1967, Marilyn and I singing "Language of Love". The beginning of a magical week of love in Paris. We never saw each other again after that, but this song still brings back those wonderful memories.

  • Road Hog was another of his hits.

  • Great, great song of the early 60's.

It holds that magic feeling of the music

that was recorded those days and that

never has been beaten afterwards. We

are lucky we lived through it.

  • Great song from the early 60s. It brings back some good memories of the good old days. Thanks for sharing.

  • One of my favorite songs ever. John had more

hits than just one. He also scored under the

name of Johnny Dee (Sittin' In The Balcony)

made famous in Europe by Eddie Cochran.

Loudermilk is an important and very suces-

    full composer.

  • Fabulous post ,,loved it...

  • Lovely vid, great song! Thanks for this, pep!

  • Great song, and a great songwriter..thanks for the post.

    Raymond U.S.A. Pennsylvania

  • But, he wrote so many more good songs!

    "Roadhoog", for example!

  • This wasa John D. Loudermilk's only hit single. Love that Nashville sound recordings of the early sixties.

  • He had at least 4 hits in Australia in 1962.

    Calling Dr Casey.

    Road Hog.

    Language of Love.

    Mr.Jones.

A cover of his song Midnight Bus by Betty McQuade (on YouTube) was also a hit.
