  • Your website link for lesson four takes you to lesson 3, as does the link for lesson 3. I saw lesson four while watching lesson two. So I found it but I thought you might want to know about this.

I tried to send you a private message, but youtube wouldn't let me. A friending issue.

Thanks, I really loved the four lessons.

  • Professor V please give a little time on our website, I'm a violinist to.

Give a little time to question and answer...

  • Mr. Ehle, is changes in tone quality when you drift from lane to lane inevitable?

i think it is a necessary sacrifice to follow dynamics, right?

  • Mr. Ehle, is saw some video using that RING FINER to pull the CONTACT POINT away from the bridge and using the INDEX FINGER to pull to CONTACT POINT towards the bridge... and i immediately think its associated with the dynamics such as Piano and Forte and i conclude that these fingers control changes in volume during Cresendo and Decresendo and again Piano and Forte.

Which not what you are telling me now.

    So what do we use?

  • Great advice as always. Thank you. I found I need to bow closer to the bridge to get a good sound when fingering on higher positions, am I correct? And why is your chin rest so tall?

  • omg thanks!

  • Yes i just studied that technique in 300 basic exercises by Simon Fischer, i realy reccomend that book to anyone ho wants to perfect his violin playing, oh good vid prof. by the way ;)

  • @MaceCro where can i get that book? can you give me a link to it? Thanks alot.
