  • I was very proud of Gary Taubes because he was really cool with Dr Oz trying to crack jokes and make Low Carbing look bad. No wonder Oprah is still fat...

  • they don't differentiate between crappy fat like processed factory farmed meat/trans fat and health promoting fat like grass fed beef/ fish/avocado.

  • Dr. Oz is so frustrating!! Gary/Jimmy, thanks for doing what you do. Keep up the good work! You are saving lives.

  • Who cares Dr. Oz did it like this! More meat for us, and it'll be cheaper! Dr. Oz is a batiboy anyways :D.

  • I never subscribe to podcasts, but I'm interested in subscribing to yours, do I do that via Itunes?

  • @mariilink It's on iTunes if you search "low-carb" there or you can visit TheLivinLowCarbShow dot come slash show notes

  • I lost any and all respect for Dr. Oz after watching this episode.

  • This is why I do not watch Television anymore, I actually threw out my Television.

  • Low carb really means "RIght Carb" eat as many green vegetables and salads as you want.. limit grains and avoid flour and other refined carbs as much as possible.

  • @hnainfo Yes! A very good point that gets lost or misinterpreted sometimes with the label of low/no carb.

  • I have been on a low carb diet for 21 days. I have never felt better than when I was on that high carb stuff. I have less and less cravings for sweets. I am not walking back and forth to the kitchen anymore. Better sleep. No frequent night trips to the bathroom. No heartburn. No chest pains. And I am losing weight!!!!! Dr. Oz portrays eating all that meat makes you tired. Baloney!

  • I am a family Dr and I agree. The only time I have every seen any of my patients lose weight though diet (not surgery) has been through a low carb diet.

  • That low carb is still considered a fad diet should undermine the credibility of "leaders" in the medical and nutrition fields who have not tried to help their patients using low carb yet still feel qualified to dismiss it's value.

Every day I see a patient who tells me that low carb diets are the only diets that have worked for them. When combined with the understanding of how to avoid "secret" trans fats and a few other principles, the low carb lifestyle is a consistent recipe for success.

  • I saw the show and was shocked by the way they presented a low carb diet. They did't even let Gary explain it properly. My opinion of Oz and his show have dropped. He gave more time and credibility to the 4 hour body guy. Who, by the way, was doing low carb!

  • Lunatics duking it out. Wonderful.

  • I put a link to the appearance in the notes section below the video, Hugh.

  • The very fact that Gary did not go for a low blow, and make an association between Dr. Oz's precancerous growth and his mostly vegetarian high carb diet, demonstrates how much more intellectual integrity that Taubes has than Dr. Oz.

  • Thanks Jimmy for this interview. There is nothing like having the man who is being disparaged by Dr. Oz speak for himself.

  • @alphacause That's why I wanted him on my show. Hopefully this answers a lot of the questions and concerns people had.

  • @alphacause I'd like to know if Dr. Oz even read GCBC or WWGF. So sad GT was manipulated into such a negative way....makes me wonder if the Oprah puppet has disorted other programs too. I think a big plus would have been to bring on successful followers of GT.

  • I, for one, do not get tired of listening (or watching) Gary Taubes.

  • @Mommy0fTwins I told Gary that. :D
