  • SAW THEM IN CONCERT TODAY XD

  • Whos the guy that comes up and starts singing

  • Vinnie Caruana, he is the former singer of The Movielife and current singer of I Am The Avalance

  • shoot in the bay next time man.

  • awesome band. awesome album. awesome song. done. haha :) check out my cover guys! its on my channel or on the video responses hopefully haha ^ ^ ^ thanks :)

  • reminds me of With Honor for some reason

  • I think the only band you can even come close to comparing them to (if u wanted compare for some reason) is like A Wilhelm Scream. But these guys have their own flavor which makes even more that BA. I don't hear any blink or sum 41 in their new album like many people seem to think they are posing off of. For one their talent way surpasses both of those bands. Yes even Travis. Of course this is just IMO ;p

  • LOOOOOOOOVE <3

  • wtf? none of them looks even the tiniest bit goth :[

are you new to the alternative music scene?

  • fuck you man, if you don't like them don't listen.

  • Seeing them on Nov 4th. Excitedddd. :DD

  • I saw them last night at the House of Blues! They were so good.

  • This is pretty punk rock for SYG.

  • what I really love about set your goals, is that they all look like really cool guys to chill with

  • this is awesome! :)

  • wow greaaaaat music :) they are officially on my fav bands list i think.

  • Gang Vocals ftw!

  • i love vinnie's part in this, great vox, the others are good too, but they were awfull in some live vid I saw...yet i can imagine them being awesome live...live recordings always sound different

  • no live they are not good. no offense becuase i sort of like the recordings of the songs but live it always sound like the drumming is off from the rest of the music

  • this music video is terrible, its just them playing. whatever happened to the VIDEO part? anywhoooo... great going

  • almost every punk video is a room full of people

  • cuz simulates the concert ambients ;D

  • who's the guy that they get on stage for the last part? kind looks like the dude from polar bear club but im not sure...help?

  • lead singer of I am the Avalanche

  • This band's prettyy good.

Can't wait to see them on Saturday. It'll be a interesting mosh.

  • and i dont like this song but the transition at 0:21 is pretty sick

  • It does suck. Im seeing them next week and it's sort of a wasted show since all I'm their to see is SYG.

  • i drop a 123 over the ground its broken

    amazing

  • i will always love syg :)

    one amazing band

  • i could of been in this video if i would of had a ride

    to LA

    XD

  • My friend was lucky he got to be in the video.

  • its a pretty sick music video

  • i saw them in concert last night. they were amaazinngg

  • we dn t like nike sb in the punk music and outlooks!

  • i love set your goals, mutiny was better but this is still good. i have my niece in my lap and shes dancing to it haha.

  • singer fucking kills it.

  • lol jus wat i thought

  • Great band. I love their cover of Lil John's Put Yo Hood Up. Their original stuff is good too.

  • please come to chicgago

  • Man his voice is amazing. It's fairly unique. I'm addicted to this song.

  • who's voice?

  • If you like these guys check out "All Heart" they from Hawaii! pretty good. here is there myspace link. allhearthi

  • lol. don't feed the troll, people.

  • RIP The Movielife

  • I second the Movielife Comment. We tried to get I am the Avalanche to play a Movielife song but Vinnie apologized and said he didn't do that anymore.

  • set your goals is a great band... the new cd is much better than the other

  • fuck no.

  • fuck yes lol

  • i ment fuck no towards this album being better than mutiny. btw the matt (the tiny singer) thinks there fans have gone to shit.

  • Comment removed

  • i hate this guys voice

  • set your goald are fucking amazing live it was the first time i saw them at leedsfestival 2009..... amazing band

  • lol @ the apple loop at the end of their song.

  • so do you :]

  • lol. my cousin booked this band at a live show when they were still a hardcore band.

  • And former vocalist for The Movielife

  • who's the guy who starts singing at 2:34?

  • Vinnie Caruana, from the band I Am the Avalanche

  • yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeees!

  • this sh** is catchy

  • Though I try to steer clear of arguing on the interwebs, I gotta say, no one really seems to know what hardcore is anymore. Everyone nowadays thinks it's anyone with a fringe who screams into a mic and can tune their guitar down to guttural sounds. REAL hardcore is Black Flag, The Bad Brains, Minor Threat, etc. you know...ACTUAL hardcore. Just sayin'.

  • haha thanks to the positive feedback bro and thats cool that you're down with R.O.

But dont name out bands who play the real shit because you know whats gonna happen? all these little scene kids are gonna find out about it and tell all their little scene friends and they're gonna kill it, I mean look at what Have Heart's crowd used to look like then look at it when the trendy fucks found out about the band. I'm sure you get the point haha, keep it real bro, From the Harbor Area L.A HxC Por Vida.

  • forsure bro i just removed my comment. but yeah i hate that. have heart was fuckin awesome, but now theyre breaking up and i bet it was cause a lot of the ppl that are joining the "scene" arent even real. but yeah well keep it real. what part of the harbor area are you from bro? im from carson

  • lol ur stupid

  • Cool story bro

  • i agree, but it's nice that some bands are carrying that tradition. like this band. although i think most of these kind of bands are influenced by lifetime more.

  • My friend is so lucky he went to the shooting of this video.

  • Type O are fucking amazing! And Peter Steele is more rooted in real hardcore than probably everybody posting on this threat me included.

  • man, fuck all you wanna-be hardcore and metal kids. this is the real pop punk shit. hardcore my fucking ass. stupid punk ass fucking scene faggots.

  • Comment removed

  • Stick to your Guns falls under FAGcore.

  • meh not really.

theyre a HARDCORE band with a FAGcore singer.

and even if theyre fagcore, then theyre at least the best fagcore band.

  • You know any drummer wearing a type-o shirt can't be good. Video over before it started.

  • That's a sweet New Found Glory shirt! :P

  • vinnie from the movielife. aka, the man. pop / punk / hardcore legend right there. rip the movielife.

  • mm its alright

    singing kinda ruins the music

they have good music but yeah

  • this sounds like a poor mans day to remember

  • too fucking bad syg have been doing this shit way before a day to remember got famous by sucking victory record's dick.

  • are you saying theyre pussys?

  • lol alright bro. i almost couldn't get what you were saying since you have such an extensive vocabulary.

  • haha its k, it takes time i guess.

  • What's wrong with going to bed on a giant pussy? That wouldn't bother me :)

  • lmao yes!

  • Yea too bad bromo...

  • Dude, if your gonna insult them you can at least make sense.

  • wow. that insult was so bad i bet your mom cried.

  • The singer at the end is Vinnie Caruana. He was the singer of The Movielife and now sings for I am the Avalanche.

  • Comment removed

  • I'm a bigger fan of this band than you are because I've KNOWN about them longer than you have.

Shut the hell up!!!! Just appreciate the fact that a band you like is making it big and is gaining more fans. Stop finding ways to make yourself better than other fans.

    Grow up, scene kids.

  • Just because you know about them longer doesn't mean that you are a bigger fan

  • scene kids definitely dont listen to syg :)

  • i disagree.

  • Not the best song on the album but still pretty good!

  • whos the vocalist in the end

  • The guy from I Am the Avalanche I think.

  • shweetness is this band....

  • awesome transition at 1:58

  • whats with the hating? just chill and enjoy, if you don't like it. don't listen to it, it's not difficult kids!

  • greetings from brazil!!

    this band is fuckin awsume!

  • yeah its deff called pop punk and who the hell cares ne way if iu think its good listen if u dnt stfu and dnt trash itt

  • who calls this hardcore, its pop punk for the fans

  • what happened to the old singer??

  • They had those two for quite a while now, if not forever? I cannot recall a time when they had another singer actually, to think of it. Yeah i since at least they're both there in reset and when they came to my town i saw both of them like 2- maybe 3 years back?

  • i gotta see these guys live.

  • i stumbled across this band on playlist.c**... what a damn good discovery.

  • Best album I've heard in a LONG LONG time, saw them live the other day but and i wasnt too impressed :( , Only Drummer and bigger singer looked game

    shame shame

  • drummer is awesome, and so are the other instruments. but the singer...... idk.....

  • this whole album is really badass, just what iw as looking for in new music. the only complaint i have is the vocalist. he's not the strongest of singers. other than that, it's nearly flawless.

  • oh, i see... there are two singers. neither of them are very strong.

  • This band is alright but i hate when kids calls this hardcore and act all tough about it, they just make themselves look bad.

  • things change man look what people call metal now! its completely different. what set your goals are doing now is brilliant and no one ever said they were just hardcore they just got elements of it which is true!!

  • foooo this is a hardcore mix ucan at least say that if u act like u know about hardcore i bet u dont even know shot about hardcore

  • and do you? Who cares if they don't know about hardcore? this is hardly hardcore... it's like popcore... but they're still a good band

  • this band is awesome

  • I love Set Your Goals. I'm so glad they're on AP Fall Ball Tour. So excited. (L)

  • good song good song

  • does this song make anyone else wanna take a great poop while playing gameboy color with blue version too?

  • i have just recently started listening to syg..and i cant stop listening..they have become one of my favs

  • just dont listen to them

i bet you u found out about this band this year

which kinda sucks cause there bin out for roughly 5 years

ive bin listening to them since i was 12 now im 16 so yeah jut dont liten to them

its funny when i go to shows and only the old fans start 2stepping and start singing to there old shit

  • Dude seriously, set your goals are appealing to such a larger fan base along the release of this album. There's nothing wrong with that, they're a great fucking band and they deserve all of the support they get. Honestly, it took me a long time to appreciate their music but now I can't listen to them enough. As for the tough, macho, experience scene guy persona you possess. You're sixteen! You're young, impressionable and you will never be an old school hc dude. Get over it and just enjoy.

  • dude..i love syg!!!! they have become one of my favs.. ive heard of them beofre but until i heard this album i was floored!!!. they are hella awesome

  • dude, chill your noots.

who cares that they might have just found out about them this year,

it's all about the music not how long you've known a band.

that doesn't give you bragging rights it just makes you look like a deuce.

  • home girl dont tell me to chill my nut

and by the way its obvious you also started recently listening to this band

  • first off, dont call me home girl.

    second, its noots.

third, i've known about this band as long as you have. so you can just stop right there.

  • yeah right u know thats a lie

  • your life is a lie.

  • yeah it is

  • that's nice

  • that's pretty selfish... how are they meant to progress as a band if only so called "old fans" were to listen to them? ofcourse younger people are gonna find out about them and like them, doesnt mean they're any less of a fan

  • wow, your a fucking retard. seriously. because oh my god, you have known them for longer it gives you the right to tell someone else not to listen to a god damn band. i think you should just go fuck yourself. and wow, this bad ass can 2 step. pussy.

  • thanks for takingthe time to insult me shows people actualy listen to what i say and no was taalking to u any ways

  • Yeah this is a hardcore MIX I was saying it's stupid how fools try to act all hard thinking this is nothing but HARDCORE if you would have read what I said correctly it would have made more sense AND YOU CALL YOURSELF A HARDCORE KID real fools dont walk around saying they're a hardcore kid you're probably one of those young punk ass kids that just stand around at a show, come to the fucking house of rott and you'll be fucking dealt with

  • come to the chainreaction youll get fucked upppppppp

  • that place is burnt.

  • dude just shut the fuck up your bragging about 2 stepping

  • Comment removed

  • hooolly shit, bud, it's called sarcasm. in reply to prior comments.

  • This is such a awesome song!!!! Set Your Goals rocks!!!

  • ARE YOU KIDDING! Its Viney From

I'm the AVALANCHE! (the movie life)

    representing Brooklyn!

    Bara Bing Bara Boom, Viney!

  • who is the singer at the end?

  • grow does the beard?

  • ahhmazing

  • fuckin greatttt ha :D

    <3

  • I'm in SF and might go to this concert tonight by myself. This is the kind of music I want to play in a band. It all reminds me of the best of the punk of yesteryear in the 90s, the progressions that is and just the straightforward feel and speed of it all

  • sorry but the best punk of the yesteryear was in the early 80s. get your shit straight

  • I said best of punk of yesteryear specifying in the 90s. And what's the early 80s groups youre talking about?

  • AHH im going to see them tonight with four year strong, im so pumped :D

  • i went to that show at glasshouse pamona. fucking amazing.

  • Never heard of them untill today, but they are great!

  • Can't wait to see them this Thursday with Four Year Strong.

  • ahh me too!!

  • Last time i saw set your goals at Glass house the place was insane..... Oh the memories... I know its gonna be ten times better this year with fys.... I'm sooooooooooo excited 4th time im seeing them

  • IMA BE THERE AS WELL!!!! lets tear that place down >XD

  • I'm gonna destroy the pit on gaia bleeds for sure

  • arent we all? hahaha. xD

  • Im sure you will...xtuffxguyx, betcha you're a scene kid who loves spin kicks and windmills?

  • saw them play with four year strong last night. they put on a great show

  • At the Launchpad? I was gonna go but I got fucking strep throat :(

  • I'd still go even if I had it. I mean, if you really like the band, it doesn't really matter what condition you're in.

  • I was ready to go, but the parents said no. I've already seen them 3 times, I just really want to see them touring on support of This Will Be The Death Of Us.

  • this band has great lyrics

  • I love this album and I am seeing them tonight!

  • Look, anybody that's saying "but it doesn't sound like Mutiny!" needs to shut it.

When listening to any CD, if you really wanna get the most out of it, you have to approach it like it's the first CD the band has ever put out, don't compare its sound to previous albums.

If you did that, you'd see that this song is fucking badass. It's a battle cry that opens up a phenomenal album.

  • Well I will judge after listening the rest of the record but this song is very ordinary.

Hopefully I still have Mutiny if this one sucks!

  • how many fuckin singer does this band have
