French Foreign Legion - The Recruit Jungle Training

Does every Legionairre go to Guyane and Djibouti as standard practice, or is it a course which they can sign up to? Or do some batallions/platoons (I don't know the French for it) get forced to go on exercise, but by chance you might never experience it?

What I mean is, is it part of basic training or is it only for specific exercises/training throughout your career?

I want to be a Royal Marines Commando, but still have 100% respect the to the legion!

This training realy is brutal and very hard....but even better then than is Jungle schools...jungle warfare centers and there is prety more brutality.

Legionairs which are the best can go in school Columbia - LANCERO or BRAZIL - MANAUS , Which one is the best i can not say, but at dinner we always fight with words, which training is more tought :D hahahahaha
