  • there is other parts to the song though...

  • hey when you play it your way, are you hitting the High E string in the last two chords?

  • Fight Club! :D

  • @3u447 dont talk about it

  • @3u447 Some existed before Fight Club.

  • @3u447 wow, way to break the first two rules

  • Good, I just wished I could see more of the strumming

  • My wife loves this song. There are almost always two ways to play a song. You have to listen to the tone to see what strings (chords) they are using. You took the time to make this vid and that says alot about your character. Well done. Oh yeah, don't listen to the people downing you. This is a simple song and if they can't get it from your lesson then they can't play at all.

  • oops thought i was still on the comments of another video i just watched! this is a great video! good teacher for both beginners and for the more advanced! thanks for the video bro!!

  • cant even see the picking.....thanks for nothing!!!

  • a man, i get it. thanks, and don't listen to people on there high horse!

  • Beginners will still get the hist of it from this video, but you are complicating things and are giving out wrong information. The progression starts with an E major chord, which is what you played, but called E minor. And as far as the "hard way", you're just fretting the chords differently. C-sharp minor, A flat, and A major should all just be barre chords, rather than using your thumb and whatnot.

  • Thankyou! Now i can not look like a douche playing the open chord version! :D

  • pretty weak, sorry

  • Thanks a lot ! you're amazing :D

  • which guitar is behind you?

  • Thanks I love this song, and now i can finally play it!

  • ok where is the dificult way?

  • i played this song at my skool hehe =D i did the solo irt was fun

  • i love u for this! period

  • your "more difficult" way doesn't add any notes. it actually takes away the root. and its not more difficult. its always easier to not bar

  • dude, i can see u haven't been to the uk... ..V.

btw, it's missing parts of the song,

and still i like your video

  • Cheers thankyou for your tuition. very helpfull

  • so what about the solo then post a vid on that

  • ohhh!!! this song it's very easy, and I love it and it sounds great I I'm really jerk son I can't play it shit I'm so frustrated!!!!!!!! but thank you very nuch for this I mean it´s really great

  • so what about the solo

  • i...love you? :/

  • this was probably mentioned like 20 times already but the second way you did can be done by barring the 4th fret instead of using your thumb--much easier in my opinion

  • gr8 thanks man

  • you're great ty u so much !

  • Nothing wrong its just the Jimi bar chord get it together

  • WOW< thank you for that!

  • if you cant learn from this, means your not ready to play the song yet.

  • wow. man thanks a ton!

  • 8:41

  • hey man i like how you mixed it up you sould try a song call rest of my life by unwritten law...i cant find a good teacher online and i cant really read tabs all that well so hope yeah can help me bro....lates

  • thanks man that was simple and fast

  • ty but I prefere the first way!! Pixies rocks!

  • does any body no the strumming patteern i havent listen to the song in ages

  • @middywashere the strumming pattern is ddd du ddd du ddd du dududud

  • @newyokerdude thanks i taught my self it though i worked it out that was like the first rythm song i lernt so i had trouble working struming patterns out but thanks

  • thanks man..awesome

  • i liked your way better because i cant play bar chords well

  • Thx ;D

  • What strings are you playing on the power chord?

  • i believe there is a slight mistake on the lead part

  • perfect!

  • How to play Hey from Pixies Please.....

  • n yea!!!

  • SPEAK UP, GOD!

  • Great:)

  • It doesn't add anything to it. You're just barring differently. The song's played with an E MAJOR and then barres after that. You're just using your thumb for the root, and your index finger for the B and high E strings. No big. Just a different barre.

  • @AToxicOrange

very good point... and if anything it takes away notes with the muting of the A string.

    silly rabbits...

  • @AToxicOrange well you can add some hendrix stile notes.

  • @AToxicOrange barring tends to be a bit chunkier sounding

  • ur unreal i can friggen play it now! thanx loads keep im comin!
