This meant that based on the number of people missing and the number killed at each camp the figure at Auschwitz had to be lowered. Documentation includes the numbers of people deported to Auschwitz, plus the transfer records between camps

Do you have any documentation that the western historians, who had no access to Auschwitz while the Soviets did, somehow knew the correct number of Jews killed at that camp to be 1 million and not the 4 million listed and so reflected this lower number ever since the 1940s?

I tend not to believe it:
(1) The Soviets had access to Auschwitz and its records. The West did not. How could the west get the right number?
(2) If that were true, we would have to believe that the Zionist Orgs were pushing for a lower number of Jews killed in the Holocaust than the official number per the Soviets. When have we ever known the Jewish Orgs work to understate Jewish victimhood?

(1) Easy, during the Nuremberg trials, estimates for deceased people were given for each camp, einsatzgruppen shootings and the gas vans. This meant that based on the number of people missing and the number killed at each camp the figure at Auschwitz had to be lowered. Documentation includes the numbers of people deported to Auschwitz, plus the transfer records between camps
(2) Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they're out to get you. Dont bring some ridiculous conspiracy into it

Do you have any documentation that the western historians, who had no access to Auschwitz while the Soviets did, somehow knew the correct number of Jews killed at that camp to be 1 million and not the 4 million listed and so reflected this lower number ever since the 1940s?
This would call on us to believe that the Jewish organizations would have made a point to decrease the number of Jews killed in the Holocaust, to lower the victimization of Jews.not behavior consistent with their history

Firstly, since Rudolf Höss in his memoirs said that the death toll of 2.5 MILLION was way too high. This not only validates his memoirs, but proves that the a much lower death toll was made by the very kommandant of the camp
