  • @paddyfrogfart thanks for that. i was playing a martin 000-15 in this clip.

    -c

  • Way to go! almost as good as Blind Blake

The leyend tells that he sold his soul to the devil thats why he is hard to beat .

    good job

  • let the energy spewed by the idiot hater posts just fuel your own positive energy - beautiful work

I guess some people can't figure out what arduous, passionate and loving work produces: true skill

you've obviously familiar with these concepts

  • Good stuff!!!!

  • wisdom to those who cant tell the authentic from the fake.

#1 Tip just for you guys ...

watch the video with ur eyes closed.

  • I guess that's pretty embarrasing for you for making such a stupid comment as anyone could see the synch was off... look at his repost this guy is great... Great job, Cocoringo

  • this is great, check out some of my prewar bluse vids too!!

  • Beauutiful man, how long have you been playin'? How much time d'ya spend practicing!? Gimme some tips bro ;)

  • God dam - I' Blown away. Keep postin!!!!! Keep playin And thanks - it reaches to my core. Peace

  • Very very nice!!! you know how to swing!

  • ha ha, nice one, but sorry, it ain't fake. check out the synched up one here: youtube dot com / watch?v=UrLWxgE_WKM

  • well done man!! ive got d original on cd (gt it free wit an issue of "total guitar" magazine) n it sounds as tho ders 4 pianos playing..amazing..so uve done well to get any where near Blind Blake. Fantastic!!!!!!!!!!!

  • It doesn't look to me like your really playing this. haha probably not, its just doesn't match up with where your left hand is and whats going on in the audio.

  • check out my other version of "blind blake rag", it's synched up

  • cocoringo, thanks for the video. i love playin that old delta thumb bass ring-a-moran, but have always been intimidated by that old rag, specially that ol' blake rag. never actually been fortunate enough to see some one playin it and with skill on top of the ball. would be ever so grateful to you my good man if you was to synch up the recording.

  • rexious5, i couldn't find the original so i just re-recorded it this time synched up: go to youtube dot com/watch?v=UrLWxgE_WKM

  • I wish I could play like this.

  • You are one great player - very nice touch...

  • Out of sync?

  • yeah, if there's enough of an interest i can repost a synched up version

  • Guys, he's not faking it, the sound is just off a little. Nice job man.

  • you got that piedmont style down bro. Im still shocked from hearing your bo carter rendition, fukin A, who would of thought , somebody playin bo's stuff on youtube haha

  • lmao, good try, but its really obvious your faking this to a track... I mean if your gunna do sm as dumb as this, u should at least not show your face... wow...

  • crazy!!!! which tabs do u use?

  • no tabs, just listened a lot to blind blake and played a lot with neil harpe, the stella guitars guru who plays all these old tunes..

  • yep- a very complete sound. I remember the very first Blind Blake record I ever heard was Hastings Street, with Charlie Spand on piano. Have been a fan ever since.

  • what's the name of the song you start playing at 1:50?

    i love that part

  • not sure, think it's just part of southern rag or west coast blues or something with some improv thrown in..

  • I know this song...you are nothing short of GREAT!!!

  • thanks kasquar!

  • you guys must either be blind or deaf, this is a total fake, just like his Merle Travis video.

  • cause that is what i want in life, to make everyone think i'm a big you tube phony for something as esoteric as 1920s ragtime blues...

  • Great job of capturing the Blake spirit. Not the least bit cheesy or contrived sounding.

  • very good :)

  • good work,

  • not sure, everyone else seems to be able to watch it. there does seem to be a lag sometimes between the sound and the image.

  • is it my tube or your not playing at all, i play that tune inside out

  • Thanks, I can't stop picking the old rags!

  • Great picking my friend!!That good o' ragtime feeling.

  • Thanks for the comments, glad you both liked it.

  • Nice and cool!!!.

  • Great performance.

    Good work.Thanks for sharing.
