240252 - Great job of uploading this classic - thank you. What a team was Ambrose and Sam Browne. In my humble opinion only surpassed by Al Bowlly and Ray Noble - perhaps the best ever.
There is nothing quite like English Elegance for a relaxing evening at home. Such glorious music that will always be in style amongst people with manners and good taste.
Next to Al Bowlly and the Ray NobleOrchestra or Lew Stone Band, Sam Browne and Ambrose were as good as it got in their day. Thanks for such a great old song - why aren't here more like it today?
I can't get enough of this wonderful music. Both Ambrose and Sam Browne recordings are not too common where I am, so this one is double perfection! Also, let me add my own thanks to you as well for the first rate biographical notes. They are an education.
Fantastic!. I like your detailed historical notes too. There are plenty of dance band crooners to admire, but I hear something like this and Sam becomes top of my hit parade yet again.

What wonderful music - surely no one could dislike it - there appears to be at least one. Simply marvellous combination Sam Browne and Bert Ambrose.
Occasionally we here in the 21st century get some good music, but nearly all of it was good in those far-off 30s. Nostalgia!

Great band and a great old tune from that most incredible of decades-the 30's. Thanks so much for this- flawless recording.
isn't it sad there is so little entertainment with class today- and so little talent as well-Thanks again
