Back in the days of the Sega CD and TG-CD where every game was just a 16-bit game with maybe more content or voice samples than usual, or more likely just a Redbook CD audio soundtrack, this would have been amazing.

From what I recall, the DD2 soundtrack on TG-16 in Japan wasn't nearly this good, mostly unrelated music. Most of the CD soundtracks then were just pure cheese.  This is cheese too, but it's the good kind of cheese, like a nice brie or something. This should've been on Sega CD.

I think double dragon 2 on nes, considering his technical constraints, is by far the best beat em up game of all time.

I agree. DD2 on NES is the beat em up I still love most all these years on. I think it's the small complexities they add to the game play that really stand up - the 'Super Moves' (Uppercut, Knee & Hurricane Kick) and all those grab options (elbow, throw, knee and kick). Combine all this with the fact that the game kicks major arse... yeah, imo, the BEST DD ever made (the NES version!) and EASILY one of the best beat em ups ever! Why isn't it on VC already ;__;
