Also, just because God is all-powerful it doesn't mean he can do anything. For instance, God cannot make a rock so heavy he cannot lift it. But God also could not will the opposite of the 10 commandments, for instance. The reason sin (breaking God's law) is so evil is because we are violating the very nature of who God is. God is holy.

You are saying God is evil based on your limited knowledge of the universe, but God has all knowledge in the universe (Omnipotent) and is the very essence of goodness. God determines what is evil or good based on his perfect character. Also, what an all good, all knowing, all powerful being does and what mankind does are two different kinds of ethics. perceptions by people label certain things as good or evil. how could miniscule labels by people apply to an omnipotent being that is the universe itself and we are all made from it? To call god evil would call everything in the universe evil. if that is so wouldn't that make evil the norm? then if evil becomes the norm then it is good? this is all preposterous. God is not evil. God does what is necessary. just because people lose something doesn't make God evil. Put yourself in god's shoes.
and really think about it. If you were the creator and overseer of an entire universe, what would you do to ensure the greater good of people? Just because people don't agree with god or percieve god correctly, it doesn't make him/her/it evil. Evil is a choice. If god were evil, then God would ensure that EVERYONE would never have any peace, happiness, or success NO MATTER WHAT. Yet people find happiness. To me that means there is a God willing to let people become happy, therefore God is GOOD.

God had promised the land to them, his promises must come to pass cause he is perfect. If an atheist wants to say God is evil, they should prove jesus was evil, but they cant and they know it.

Many verses in the Quran CHALLENGES the reader to LOOK, THINK, REFLECT and PONDER on everything that exist..and the greatest prove of His existence is YOURSELF. Did you create yourself??
Did He not give you the Sight, Hearing and heart?? to distinguish what is EVIL and what is GOOD?? How can you know GOOD if EVIL does not exist??

Muslims follow the Quran base on their understanding that what it contains is correct, makes sense and no contradiction what so ever..to believe or not, it is up to the reader to decide for God has given you the tools to see, hear, feel and THINK..

it is the content that makes it true and clear, no confusion and no contradiction..God didn't send scriptures to confuse people. He send scriptures to guide people to Him and the idea of 3 in 1 is illogic.

Also, just because God is all-powerful it doesn't mean he can do anything. For instance, God cannot make a rock so heavy he cannot lift it. But God also could not will the opposite of the 10 commandments, for instance. The reason sin (breaking God's law) is so evil is because we are violating the very nature of who God is. God is holy.

If god lives by a different set of ethics, then he would not judge us to those standards, or he would design us in a way in which it would be possible for us to meet those standards.

You are saying God is evil based on your limited knowledge of the universe, but God has all knowledge in the universe (Omnipotent) and is the very essence of goodness. God determines what is evil or good based on his perfect character. Also, what an all good, all knowing, all powerful being does and what mankind does are two different kinds of ethics. The Creator has every right to say, "If you constantly choose evil over good THAT I MAKE KNOWN TO YOU, I'm going to wipe you out."

perceptions by people label certain things as good or evil. how could miniscule labels by people apply to an omnipotent being that is the universe itself and we are all made from it? To call god evil would call everything in the universe evil. if that is so wouldn't that make evil the norm? then if evil becomes the norm then it is good? this is all preposterous. God is not evil. God does what is necessary. just because people lose something doesn't make God evil. Put yourself in god's shoes.

and really think about it. If you were the creator and overseer of an entire universe, what would you do to ensure the greater good of people? Just because people don't agree with god or percieve god correctly, it doesn't make him/her/it evil. Evil is a choice. If god were evil, then God would ensure that EVERYONE would never have any peace, happiness, or success NO MATTER WHAT. Yet people find happiness. To me that means there is a God willing to let people become happy, therefore God is GOOD.

This is very good question, one that most believers if not all of them have trouble comprehending, basically because of the fearful intincts espoused from a belief in eternal torture and Hell, another 'evil' premice. Atheist always love to quote Deut 20; 10-14 in order to say God is cruel. They ignore the fact that this was one instance. It is not open ended. God had promised the land to them, his promises must come to pass cause he is perfect. Furthermore, countlessly important things depended on them taking to the town which some people fail to understand. If an atheist wants to say God is evil, they should prove jesus was evil, but they cant and they know it.

"Rape" is actually a mistranslation. For instance, the Kjv says "lay hold on her" as is common. The man pursues the women. It mentions nothing about it being nonconsual.
