Look none of this is really kind of true. The Amiga is capable of running a number of modes, NTSC being one of them. TAB will not work until you press scroll lock to change the ui emulation to partial, otherwise it's set to emulate the Amiga fully, including tab, messaging and Esc exiting MESS.
As a note, MAMEHub 0.5 is obsolete, now. Since you can't post links in the comments, all I can say is to go to the MAMEHub forums using Google, then get version 0.6 from there.
I got so excited I had to tell someone, the new version of Mess in the coming update gets all the way to the character select screen and has full inputs! I runs pretty much perfectly up to that.
Uh, holy shit, it actually works in the new version. I'm not exactly sure how to handle it. I want to play it as soon as the new version drops, I know that much.
I downloaded this a few days ago and enjoying it so far, I know I most likely can't really help out with improvements though. I definitely looking forward on trying out the netplay capabilities.
That's the real question and its debatable cause it comes down to which is best / runs best. SNES is the version I'm most familiar with but I think the arcade version would be both better looking and more functional due to the possible 4 player stuff. I've not experimented with much in the way of multiplexer emulation over the net so i'm really flying blind (sorta).
They all work more or less perfectly, except incorrect palettes on footsoldiers in the arcade version. You couldn't really tell just looking at it though.
I doesn't have anything more than preliminary support for systems after Playstation. Yes, It will run some games, but I wouldn't put money on them working well or even know which ones will. Chu-Chu rocket might..
I'll do some testing on it, it's all kind of new stuff and no-one is really sure what Mess is capable of.
Addendum: Currently Mess doesn't even load the bios for the system, so no Dreamcast games yet. That is not to say support will not be added or Mamehub itself will not incorporate an emulator that can, but for the time being at least, no.
I depends on what you run. Atari, colecovision, Nintendo, Snes, Genesis, Master system, PCengine, gameboy.. Well a LOT of systems won't require much processing power to run.
Huh, did you change only the name of the video ("The future of emulation/retro gaming/something, today") to reference Mamehub, or did you get into trouble and had to reupload the video with something added or removed? Sorry if I'm looking too much into this, but I'm just wondering.
I renamed it because it sounded like an infomercial. Since I had to re-upload it because of everyones glitched subscription boxes not even getting notices about the upload (it had 20 views after 8 hours!), so I figured I would do a better job on the little details. Then I resubmitted this comment because my typing is atrocious.
I've always wanted a program like this, not just for the multiplayer capabilities, but for being able to play all my ROMs from one program as opposed to having several. It just feels sleeker and cleaner, y'know?
@boombafunk nice to hear ^^

my mamehub 0.8 don't wanna start up anymore... i waited at least 5min and still nothing except the command screen :/ help pls
Malario80 1 month ago
Ok don't freak out.
Delete the Mamehub folder and then reinstall mamehub. You can carry over your old .ini files and nvrams, and configurations if you want.
Yeah taht's kinda shitty but , whee betas.

@BigBangBlitz Yea nvm, it worked again day after. thx anyway :)

So tab on AMIGA has been fixed since I tried Lotus yesterday?
Still it needs to be changed to the PAL version I think. NTSC runs AMIGA too fast as it's not the AMIGA's native speed.

I believe your a bit incorrect on the NES. NES is supported but Famicom isn't currently because it's currently broken.
wrestletube1 4 months ago
It works. Bind a button to flip disk.
BigBangBlitz 4 months ago
@BigBangBlitz Tab doesn't work though so you can't change controls which makes it unplayable currently.
wrestletube1 4 months ago
Tab works. However, It looks like some recent optimizations cause the famicom driver to crash under Mamehub, i'll bring up the issue later.
It most certainly has worked.

i only use MAMHub for my needs for even 1 Player now for most things.

Yeah, it's just so damn convenient.

Does it work with Hyper Neo Geo 64?
wblstudios 5 months ago
That's not really a console, but MAME does have limited support for it that gets better almost every release.Right now it's slow and inaccurate.
BigBangBlitz 5 months ago
Any word on Saturn support yet? Because being able to play Guardian Heroes to tide me over until the XBLA release would be awesome.
Magitek1112 5 months ago
I got one Saturn game to work so far in the new version of mess, but that's pretty good since none worked just a week ago. The GBA one works though.

Damn straight. Digitalghost just figured out how to enable real time desync correction and decreased input lag somehow, check it out.
