@Toffa1985 Hi, thanks for the comment, I agree, so many times people have said bad turbulence and you can't see squat. Happy Australia Day! Melbourne.
Great video, probably one of the only ones on youtube that actually show some decent turbulence. Quick question at about 2:41, did the plane actually begin to roll abit? must have been a very bumpy ride
@AusAviation149 Thanks for taking the time to leave feedback. I wouldn't say the plane rolled as such but I don't think I have experience turbulence that bad for a very long time. Also at 2.56 ish you see a bit more aileron movement, not much but I don't know what the other wing was doing. Back to NZ Auckland boxing day so will see what happens then! Thanks again.
@omikeyz Have heard that flying over and to NZ can quite often be bumpy. My flight back from los angeles back in June was about as bumpy as this, difference being that the flight was at night, making it much more eerie cause we couldnt see anything outta the windows due to the entire 14hr flight being at night, and also because it went on for about 10hrs! I love flying but get nervous about turbulence, even though it poses no danger, i find watching videos like helps, thanks!
@omikeyz hi, thanks. The captain will never tell you on a scale how bad it was! lol yeah night time would seem worse and not a thing we can do. I think as kids we might like it more but adults we become more aware of potential danger whether it's real or not.
@BermudaGreenNox Agreeeeeeeeed! When i turned the camera into the cabin i was going to see if I could show the amount of bumps but it doesn't really show much when I'm moving myself.
@mikeycbd I think the worst I've ever experienced was on a Delta 763 running Atlanta-Zurich. We really got bounced around over the ocean, but coming in over the Swiss alps we started pitching up and down, rocking back and forth. Really monstrous wing flexing then! At one point an F/A even fell. All with a lady behind me screaming, grabbing my seat, and asking me if we're going to crash!
@mikeycbd Always enjoy watching your videos. The very similar video is of a Qantas A330 landing in crosswinds at Narita. If you search for "Qantas A330 crosswind landing" you should find it.
@mikeycbd, I luv the Turbulence & this video u made awsome, I wish my flight to Melb had Turbulence like that, Just minor though, Thumbs up for this one gr8 job..
@mikeycbd Well Back in 1998 I Went overseas From YSSY-LYBE with Olympic Airways B747-200. The Flight on the way was horrible we had severe turbulence + an air pocket which caused us to plunge at least 1000 feet in 1 sec, Most of the overhead lockers opened up, I really crapped myself that day, I thought we were going to crash & on top of that when we landed at Bangkok for a stopover the pilot did a very hard landing, Ouch my rear end was sure for a week. The Flight Back was Perfect.
is 18a a good seat?

I've noticed that 737s with winglets seem to have scary wing flex in turbulence. Was kinda fun going up to FL410 tho!
