@mrlipux I guess you mean the text in the box above another box "LEGO- OHJEITA" which is finnish and means Lego building instructions. It's hand written by some young finnish boy. So style can be foreign :)
@noname69690 Well, this has only manual gear box because this was a fast test like it reads in the description. But it's possible to make rc gear box. Easiest way may be to use two motors and substarctor connection (You can find videos of that). More difficult but same time providing much more different speeds is to construct the gear box in a way that another motor shifts and the first gives the power (there are also videos of this kind of technic used in a truck and an offroader).
@stoccop ohhhh yeea... I remember now... I used to have a Ferrari rc car, electric, which had 2 shifts (basically it was something like a switch under the car). Not something extreme though like 2 motors though. Well, the steering system broke down and I abandoned it.
@noname69690 most decent rc cars have gearboxes, they range from electronic, mechanical and centrifugal, being the later the mostly used in nitro rc cars with 2 or very few with 3 relations.
The mechanical ones use a servo on an 3rd or 4th channel to switch gears, including reverse for nitro powered, electronic are just resistors or a speed controler being the electric engine directly attached to transmission. Clear?
@daykotaskate You live in USA so i suggest searching ebay. Notice that this is MOC from to separate sets 8448 and 8275. Both are old sets and mayby not anymore sold at stores or amzon etc.
I did the same with my own 4884 two years ago or so, but judging by the speed at which yours moves, you're using the M-motor for movement, right? I used the XL, which proved to be way to much for the drivetrain to handle. Lots of worn out and broken gears and drive rings. :(
Still awesome how a new motor kit fits in with old sets, and can make a "stationary" model into a remote controlled car. :)
Also XL motor but I used low gear to avoid breaking the drivetrain. Like you said the XL motor has too much power. Evidently the new power functions are for accurate and slow movement. For speed I have the Outdoor Challenger :)
musta näyttäs että toi ei ehkä oo tommoseen autoon paras moottorivalinta... jotenkin "epäautomainen" fiilis tulee tuosta varsinki jos se on hankala ohjata
No vaihteistohan tossa on ihan vituillaan. Nopea testi vaan. Jos olis ollu aikaa ni olis saanu paremman mut en kyl tiiä kuinka hyvän luistatuksen noihin vois saada et rullais vaik ei olis kaasu pohjas. Ja ohjauksenhan saa korjattua rakentamalla itelleen ratin :D
You know you can get the power functions without buying the bulldozers? Mind you, at least you'll never run out of pieces now. Loving the description XD
About 185€ (145£ or 290$) but I meant that when I want bricks and specially those treads it was better to buy whole box (actually two box in one factory box). And I haven't seen motors sold separately here...
ur tatally correct cause 9v is da best (especially the 10001 which I may buy from bricklink!) Pros: no need of batteries, have a lot of force the motor (10159 i think), never stops working there much more but I cant tell u everything. now Cons of 9v trains: u have to keep paying ur electric bills..... The cons are minor....
Yeah, I am frustrated with all the battery needs for my remote controlled Lego motors so it is good that trains runs with transeducer. I have the original Metroliner, extra car for that and the original box :) Nice lights in that train (can be seen in my vid trains at night).
are u greek?

@noname69690 Yes it has.

@stoccop I was kidding. I wouldn't even imagine a rc with a gear box. How does it chances shifts?

Cool video ! One question : Does the lego motor have a power to work , for example, in offroad car ?
PnevmoS1on 3 years ago
Yes. New motors are powerfull (but not fast). Lego has also outdoor R/C car. Watch my video "Machine Forest" to see it yourself.
