@KoolTechDude It doesn't really require any modding. All you do is update the console in the normal way but use a custom firmware instead of the official Sony firmware :). Very easy. You just (currently) need to be on a firmware version below 3.60. psx-scene will have tutorials if you're interested.

Can you use that action replay boot disc to load your own dreamcast games burned onto discs?

@j7512 You could but there's not much point in that because almost all Dreamcast homebrew and backups are now selfbooting and don't require a separate boot disc. A boot disc is more useful for bypassing region lock for playing JAP and NTSC games or forcing VGA output on games that don't normally support it :)

@LarryBundyJr No problem,dude. It's also totally worth asking local stores if you can have their old displays. A lot of the time they will just ask for your mobile number and give you a call when they plan on trashing it.

@JefferyWylde Totally agree, Shenmue 1&2 are two of my all time favourite games. Such a shame Sega are now intent on releasing new substandard Sonic games, and re-releasing classic games instead.....
