wow i never know that monday is holiday in korea...how many holiday in a week there? what about saturday n sunday?

I read some replys below. Good info on videos is some but is not.

Jap tourists use lotte hotel. Cuz they have expensive jap money compared to koeran money- foreign money exchange rate.

I am seoul korea. Frankly speaking, any country has good or not good points about life style or culture.

@shojieong19; we actually went to korea through a japanese website, because going from japan to korea is really inexpensive. i recommend places like seoul plaza hotel, lotte hotel, seoul intercontinental coex or grand intercontinental for SUPER central locations to the city itself. you can get around quickly by subway, and we stayed in the intercontinental coex. it was great :D hope that helped.

this city has a lotttt of foreigners like europeans, chinese and japanese people so naturally sellers learn to speak basic japanese or english. and mondays are closed??? not when i was there....

@acting303; yes, it's a very international place and most of the people there spoke pretty good japanese. like, they understood more than just the basics and we were so surprised ! and yes, mondays were closed when we were there.

@beratio; yes everyone was soo nice. a lot of people on the street would talk to us when we looked like we were lost and speak to us in japanese or broken english, but they were always very very helpful and kind. and shopping to me wasn't ALL that great but i will show a haul soon. you have to know where to shop. our hotel had a pool but i honestly don't know about swimming, i don't live in korea :(
