wing design is wrong, never use dubble wing design on a supersonic airliner, one thing is right, engines should be integrated in the hull, to reduce drag and have more fuel efficiency
What i dont get is why these smart university folk made a supersonic biplane. To me it looks as if somone made the tail fins lead out to edge of the wings. Chop off the upper wing and it would look like a supersonic airliner.
Looks good, but it looks like the center of lift is way behind the center of gravity. When the aircraft goes supersonic, this imbalance is going to get even wore.
nise little concept i never put an idea down i should realy show you my design ideas

The drag on that thing would be...massive.
Do you want to go supersonic without the need of fly by wire? There is a way...
seaplaneguy1 2 years ago
its using a joined / box wing so I would have thought drag would be far less

G777GUN,
Yes, chop off upper wing and you have a Boeing supercruiser.
Look at the engines....do you see a lot of drag...I do.
"smart" uni folk? where?

@seaplaneguy1
Must be some really powerful engines.
Concorde used 4 bloody massive engines. Would this craft even go supersonic?

inspired by the Heinkel Lerche?
Perhaps it reduces vortexes

Interesting concept except maybe one problem that being power and load stress on the wings but that is about it.
