I love stock car racing. But honestly, I think asphalt racing is better. My buddies n I go to Elko speedway south of the Twin cities every summer. I love all the different classes you get to see there.
i used to go with the fire department to these races.....i really do wish that they would open it back up.....it would take some work...but it's worth it
I went to the dtwc at pennsboro the last year the track was in operation ,The whole weekend was a blast . The racing was good ,The crashes were insane. I wish it haden`t gone under...
Great to see these two heats on here! Those were definitely the good old days. My favorite cars though were the early '80s Camaros with the large spoilers...like in the movie Six Pack...lol Thanks for sharing these!
ha sweet. I was only 8 yrs old. when this film was shot.. I so glad to see this sport grow to tv now. to bad that the greats arnt the ones we get to watch. we owe alot to the greats that brought this sport to its current level of entrest.
man...my mom has a house in pennsboro off of rt 74 and we always had to drive past this awesome track i always wondered what it was like back in the day...i wish i could see a race there...haha we totally tore up the field in front of our house in this old car that we had haha those were awesome summers
I loved this track! Even though it was usually dusty and one grooved. Im so glad I made it to a couple of Dirt Track World Championships. The magic of Pennsboro was a great experience. Ill never forget the madness of people partying and riding quads and dune buggies all night long. The next morning I woke up and you couldnt take a step without stepping on a beer can. Ive camped at alot of big 2 day late model shows and Pennsboro was the wildest! Well, other than the World 100. Cool video dude!
Wow...the hill you had to sit on. The enormous bow on the front stretch. The creek in turn one. The opening in turn 4. And I only went once. That was for the Dirt Track World Championships, and I was 5!
Pennsboro was nothing like WVMS

This speedway is being sold. It's sad that it could be sold to someone who'll destroy the legacy of the Pennsboro Speedway.

It's a shame this track shut down. Only got to see one race there.
