  • are you kidding me!!! Tim sit out some songs... I guess you don't know thye history of the band, and especially Dave and Tim's relationship. Tim completed the band when they lost a founding member. Come on Tim is one of the 5 best guitarists alive on the planet right now!!! I am sure he would love a quick break , but take an entire song off.... NO BUENO

  • @g0wings1 im sorry but Tim is ruining the band. All you can hear is this over-distorted guitar taking the soul out of DMB. I know that Dave and Tim are good friends and play together all the time, but he needs to chill out with! It used to be that you could hear everybody playing, you could hear Butch playing the piano, Boyd on violin, Carter going nuts on Drums, Dave playing some chords and singing, Stefan on jamming Bass, Rashawn playing trumpet and Leroi (RIP) on sax. now it's just Tim...

  • Its like they out do themselves every live performance

    PHENOMENAL

DMB....1 of best things that ever happened 2 music

  • Dave's voice sounds great at the end of the song. Wish he sang this ending every time. Electric is definitely a little loud, but Tim is the man!!!!!

  • I agree that Tim should sit out on some songs, but that's definitely not the case for You Might Die Trying! Thumbs up if you agree!

  • How to improve DMB.... Rashawn accidently falls on Tim crushing him into oblivion and Butch returns. Oh... and like everyone I loved LeRoi but Jeff kicks serious ass on the sax and brings alot more energy to the right side of the stage.

  • I think Tim's part in this song would be fine if he just used a clean sounding setting instead of the slightly distorted one used here.

  • I never knew Booker T could play the violin lol kidding

  • Plzzzz No electric in this song :(

  • I always contend that drummers are always the happiest guys in a band.

    (Although I may be biased.)

  • they keep the electric wayyy too loud in most of the songs, they just need to turn it down, its gettign better, but not there yet

  • carter's drums arent loud enough in any of the songs ive heard at this show

  • @Kobeownzu81 so true.. for being the bands powerhouse he should be up there with dave's voice

  • this whole band makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up...unbelieveable...absolutely my favorite band

  • i think making the elctric sound so prevalent in this song makes it sound more. robotic and less about the way it was seen people jamming around a fire on a beach and it sort of loses its paradise feeling

  • i disagree, tim makes it sound much more full which sounds epic live, plus boyd fuckin rips it, prolly the best solo of any live tripping billies go to 3:26 the part following is amazing.

  • @clp545

    i guess so. ur right..

  • i cant believe what i'm hearing. no one could ever replace boyd and tim is a great addition to all songs. he blows the keys away

  • 1:45-2:00 is my favorite part!!!

  • Tim should sit out of some songs... :/ the electric gets on my nerves in acoustic songs like this, that are brilliant already and don't need the electric.

  • Or during songs like this switch to an acoustics guitar and add some funky rythym.

  • @Zeus1700 yea it does get in the way in some songs....maybe not sit out...but definantly turn it down...cuz its the most dominant sound...its even overshadowing Dave's voice

  • @Zeus1700 Idk mate...I know what ur saying but I think Tim's parts are brilliant, Dave wouldn't let him on if they weren't :) I think they are just mixed poorly in this vid (ie; too loud). Pick up the CD, you can tell the difference in the mix.

  • @Zeus1700 dont blame tim, dave is the one who wants it

  • He should sit out of all the songs.

  • @Zeus1700 I agree 199%.

  • @Zeus1700 idiot

  • I feel sorry for Boyd... Now that Tim's here he has nothing to do on any of the new songs... Or most of the old ones... I'm not hating on Tim, he's just taking boyds place.

  • does anyone no any other songs or versions of this song that have this boyd riff from 3:26 to 3:35.

  • Want to find the best Tripping Billies? Watch The Gorge dvd.

  • listen to 3:29 , i love when boyd does that riff. he does it in a bunch of other songs as well. it is so good to hear high it makes just wanna dosee doh

  • this is one of my favorite live performances of tripping billies.

  • he drummer is so fucken fast. cool

  • somehow i'm addicted to this song. dave you rock

  • Hi!

Does this show availbe on DVD?

I think it's amazing, I've been listening this gig for 2 weeks...

  • get the gorge

  • I love dave and I love tim, together they are amazing. But tim should really stick outta this one with the distortion. Great song, great emotion.

  • I agree. There are a couple songs that Tim needs to out. There are times that he solo's, and its fuckin' awesome, but it doesn't really fit. DMB is easily the coolest.

  • like this song and ants

  • In the last replay of the chorus, did anyone notice that Dave was pretty much on the verge of tears? So heartbreaking.

    RIP LeRoi

  • i think i wouldn't mind if they stopped playing tripping billies and ants marching for a while

  • how can u say that? 0_0

  • Why would you want them to stop playing two of their best tunes?

  • tim is killiing this song wtih his electic its acoustic based song just like satelitte which he also destroys

  • Aren't all of DMBs songs acoustic based?

  • They are...Im sorry, but...I dont like the distortion in this song...or any other DMB songs...

  • i like when tim comes in purely for the solo.... which is amazing.... rythm guitar ain't his thang, it's dave's

  • that's why i'm bummed that you can barely hear dave's guitar through much of the actual album.

Someone should notice before it's released. for serious.

  • In this video, I can hear Dave's guitar.

  • I think that Timmy should bring his acoustic on tour this summer, what he does on Radio City is absolutely insane, better than electric anyday

  • agree that tim is a god on acoustic but I would take him on his electric any day over acoustic on songs like so damn lucky and cornbread. And maybe even his 41 from mile high...he does a great job.

  • Tim's guitar adds a lot of power that fans who are missing LeRoi (like me) need at the moment.

  • I love Timmy's guitar part he does on Tripping Billies.

  • Oh, I noticed, thats not Leroi on the Horn either...RIP Leroi...

  • Amen George. That shit's hot.

  • you can honestly watch that video and say they are lacking vibe?..you may be overanalyzing..thats a sick version of billies.

  • they not playing with full vibe, could it be cos of leroi, its lacking in performance
