Yea jus got done beating this..i went for jus the bow and kickin the pooches at em...second head i used the gorgon to stone the ninja goat fucker,shattered him...went back to the bow and kickin the pooches at him ....3rd head i used the gorgon to stone one of the goat fuckers,shattered him..then the blade of olympus to finish the big bad dog off.and jus fucked the other ninja goat up with the L1-O AND TRIANGLE TRIANGLE TRIANGLE..
No offense to the video but I dd it with spamming the Whip and L1-Square on top. Then for Magic I just spam the Whip magic to stun and damage the Satyrs. My fingers and eyes are bleeding but I finally got through this part.
Head 1: Take your time, hit the Cerberus with arrows (L1+Square) whilst grabbing the dogs (Circle) and throwing it back at the Cerberus. This should take a little while, but you'll get there.
Head 2: Ignore the ninja goat head (Satyrs) and instead go right beside the Cerberus and do Army of Sparta on it till you can kill it.
Head 3: Use Rage of Sparta on the Cerberus till you kill it. Then grab (circle) the Satyrs three times each and you're done.
Have your Nemesis Whip upgraded to your level 4 then use L1 SQUARE attack over and over, you will be FLYING while doing it making it hard for the dog to hit you. Now for the FIRST goat, use CLAWS OF HADES then GORGON SERPENT to stun it then use your blades to kill it then for the last 2 goats, use the BLADES ONLY L1 O to finish them off.
OK, so I FINALLY am about to do it, and I switch to my Hades Claws right, to do the Gorgon freeze, and guess what? Hit R2, and the fucking cyclops comes out instead and there goes my magic. Dude are you fucking kidding me? Games need to stop this BS where SETTINGS are changed based on save points and checkpoint restarts. If I change my SETTINGS, and then I die, why the hell would I want them to go back to where I had them? Jesus fucking Christ.
People keep saying to grab the satyrs, but fuck that, you know what happened the 3 times I tried? Circle circle circle circle circle BOOM (goes the little dogs that these people who suggest this forgot about I guess) INTERRUPTED! Then in a flash of about 3 seconds I'm dead. Didn't even know what hit me.
L1+O is just blocked by the dude, so not sure what you're talking about. He blocks like 40% of all my L1+O moves. Also, the dogs explode on me, unlike you which you can apparently have dogs explode right near you and not get hurt. Is there an immunity animation or something that you're timing just right?
How does this guy not lose life at :47 and 1:05 when the dogs explode in his face? I can't figure out which dogs take time to explode, and which explode immediately. If i could figure that out...
unlike most people, i thought the last past was much more impossible than this one. when you get down to it, here there is one Cerberus and three satyrs plus some exploding dogs. the other fight was something like 10 sirens, 7 burrowers, 4 minatuars, and 30 guys with sheilds.
i cant belive you play on titan beceause the dogs that explow take you so low dmg in my game i have around 10% of full health away and i have maximum health...
To kill Cerberus ( Tri-headed dog) , complete the first part wihout using magic and keeping as much health as possible, then on the second part, use the rage of sparta, and don't bother with the Satyr. In the third part use your nemesis whip magic, all of it to kill the satyrs and Cerberus... Works for me :)
for the first satyr.... you know you could just bust out with your claws of hades, use magic and spawn the gorgon.... freeze that mutha fucka dead in his tracks, and not have to deal with him anymore.
The smaller two enemies you can also rip their spears out of their hands and headbutt them, then if you inflict enough damage and do it again Kratos will take the spear away from them and impale them through the chest with it. killing them
wow, u missed alot of chests up to this point. all 3 meters could have been filled way way back bite. most likely making this battle slightly easier. not hatin' just sayin'.

Sad in titan mode they made the regular enemies more difficult than the bosses. Hades was a nightmare but this is just dumb! Cerberus was hardcore yes, but Hades was his master - and you pwnded Hades!
@jkoz86 this is the hardest fight in GOW 3 jus like in every GOW they have a hardcore fight near the end that is harder on different difficulties..its jus crazy imagine this on chaos mode
@giantpistol1 I'm trying to beat this on Titan mode right now, and I use the Gorgon Serpent, but she keeps targeting the dog, so I always miss it. I got it once, but then I died and I can't get her to target the goats again, is there a way to make her target them?
the other day i tried like a hundred times and it pissed me the fuck off. today i beat it on my first try on titan mode. glad i never have to do this part again
My second try: yep only #2. I got the goat (satyr) dead and was working on taking off the second head, my magic was full, and I was feeling good cause i had spent only about 5 mins trying this "hard" fight. Then for some reason I DIE FROM 1 OF THE 3 FUCKING FIRE BALLS HE SHOOTS...... FUCK@@@@@ IT IS NOW AN HOUR LATER AND I CAN'T EVEN GET BACK TO WHERE I GOT ON MY FKING 2ND TRY!@!@!@!@!@ WTF!@!@!@!@
For the hard spear wielding guys, i just destroyed all the dogs that the 3 headed dog guy spawned out, and ran over to him before any more dogs spawn, grappled him, and beat the shit outta him... it takes three grapples to kill him however... Little did I know, after you take off the second head... he spawns 2. FML -_-
I HAVE TRIED OVER 50 TIMES TO BEAT THIS BATTLE. I cannot beat it. This is by far the hardest part. I'm thinking of restarting the whole game again and playing normal mode because in Titan is ridiculous. And i don't want to go to Easy mode.
This is clearly titan mode, and is very affective. But i chose to use blades of exile vs bow and heavy attack when the yellow flash in his mouth appears. roll back kick 2 dogs, repeat. Head was off in less then 1 minute. The trick to the satyrs do exactly the same as the vid you will notice with L1+0 at the end of the attack you close in on enemy if he does not block he usually falls or gets knocked back then heavy attack him he will be dead so fast.
This vid is 100% titan mode, This strategy was great except the bow takes for ever I just used heavy attack blades of exile lvl5 as soon as I saw the yellow flash in his mouth, Had his head off in a minute or less. Attack roll back kick 2 dogs. The satyrs the trick to finish them fast is L1+0 as stated but you will notice you pull in at the end of attack, If he doesnt block at the end he usually falls down then heavy attack L1 triangle.
Part 2 - equiped CoH and changed the Soul to Gorgon, immediately summoned and killed satyr while stone. Reverted to the P1 for the Ceberus 2nd head.
Part 3 - used the sheild of sparta once I had equiped BoE followed by rage of sparta meter focusing on the Ceberus as you get health orbs and magic orbs for killing him. Then L1 + O for the Satyrs.
Got it first try using this method and failed about 20 times using the vid method.
@Angryification it would be useful info if people were playing on normal like u but why wouldnt people just use the strategy in the video because its actually on titan mode. i tried ur strategy wasnt as effective as the one in this video so in a way it is useless

if u r good at countering u can do the chain and triangle(heavy) attacks on him tht way u save time and if u get hit counter and use the square reflect to knock him bk a little and keep doing the triangle attack its pretty fast. Also u can throw the dogs at the spear blade dudes and their hp go down much quicker in chaos mode at way but its risky cuz if u grab him by mistake LOL u get cornered easily by the time u do the grapple u r dead.
because they want you to DON´T have fun with it, and smash many controller, like i do, so they made money with you.. X-D i ruined 3 controllers and my couch with this game...
seriously...punching the shit out of my couch at the moment trying to beat this damn thing. the game overall is pretty fun, but y the FUCK do they make these parts so stupidly hard? i have a growing suspicion (conspiracy?) that the developers don't get no nookie, so they take out their sexual frustrations on us customers/gamers by making these fights that mirror their level of frustration.
those two guys are easy! just press circle on them, then keep tapping it, till you head but them! the third time you will grab there shpear and ram it through there face!!

the video "manofpursuit" made is the best way to beat this "boss"
rape the cerberus quick, left with 2 satyrs and I used a hybrid method (dont like gorgon magic)when it was me VS 2 satyrs (I only killed the cerberus)
I used regular blades.when the satyrs were spaced far apart I grappled one of them and mashed O, when the satyrs were close together I used army of sparta.
Chances are that you will be left with two Satyrs. Use the Gorgon soul with the Claws of Hades if you have some magic left and freeze them. If not, its best to use the Cestus and grab them with L1+O and then attack with square combos.
The trick is to get behind the dog and have the small breeders on the other side of you. That way when they explode, they are still doing damage to the Cerberus. DO NOT FACE THE DOG or you will take a lot of damage. Whip out and use the Nemean Cestus AT ALL TIMES. Use the simple SQUARE combos. Evade if you start facing the dog. Stay in back of the dog and attack the side.
Once you weaken it, rip off the first head. Continue to do the same thing as before. Try to keep the small dogs and the Satyr on the other side of you. If you feel like you are being attacked too much and losing health, USE MAGIC and continue attacking the Cerberus. Once you rip off the second head, use the Rage of Sparta and concentrate on the Cerberus with SQUARE attacks. Hit it a few more times and you will be able to rip off the last head.
the blade guys are very very easy to deal with. you just press circle when close to them which makes you grab their blade. then keep pressing circle fast and you hurt them badly. do it three times and the third time kratos takes the blade and shoves it into them. however if you dont rapid press circle they will hurt you
An easier way, use the gorgon seprant soul from the claws of hades to freeze the blade guys to freeze and easily smash them, a lot easier than attacking them repeatedly

70 deaths later I finally got it. What helped me take care of the satyrs was the gorgon serpent soul and freezing them using the claws of hades. With that lil tid bit and this video i finally got it.
i;ve done this in the first try..don't kick the little dogs...just stay behind the big one and the little ones will explode..use magic just at the second head..and the rage of sparta at the last head...this worked for me
First phase.... Arrows... arrows... kill 2 dogs, kick back one (to avoid dogs randomly exploding on you) Second phase use gorgon serpant to freeze the satyr and shatter him. After that 2 dogs come, kill 1 kick 1. Rinse repeat, phase 3 use gorgon serpant shatter one. Use rage and focus 100% on the dog. If done right you should push him to the "press circle" scene. after that finish of the last satyr and you're done.
@UOGSammich actually i did beat the game on titan mode without any bonus items. U know if u use bonus items u cant's get trophies and yet i have all of them.
this was at first pain in in the but then i tried many simpple tactics and found what works on which part. after that easy.... : DDDD
@000oooo00000000o0 try this. 1 round. right when the big dog spits out those little dogs attack the dog with the L1+Square button about 2-3 times per spitting, do this about 3 or 4 times on the first round and u get to cut the first head off : DD

This fight made easy:
Must have Gorgon Serpent Soul summon from Hades Claws + Rage of Sparta
Round 1: Kick dogs on puppy face + use bow. Switch to Hades Claws before using O finisher on puppy.
Round 2: Summon serpent on Ninja boy and kill em. Use bow + dog kicks to finish this round. Again, Hades Claws before finisher.
Rounds 3: Use serpent to kill one of the ninja boy (if lucky you'll get both). Use Rage of Sparta to finish the dog. Rest easy.

I tried the bow + dog thing but since I don't have a lot of patience I got frustrated and died a lot.
I kill it on the second try going aggressive all the way
Round 1 = R1 + Square ALL the way
Round 2 = Rage of Sparta and just go for the cerberus
Round 3 = Cornered Cerberus and spammed Army of Sparta
In the end had 2 army of spartas to spare on satyrs, but with L1 and O I had no problem killing them.

After you rip one head off switch to your "claws of Hades" and use "gorgon serpent" and freeze the guy's with the spears = one shot kill.

the other day i tried like a hundred times and it pissed me the fuck off. today i beat it on my first try on titan mode. glad i never have to do this part again

My second try: yep only #2. I got the goat (satyr) dead and was working on taking off the second head, my magic was full, and I was feeling good cause i had spent only about 5 mins trying this "hard" fight. Then for some reason I DIE FROM 1 OF THE 3 FUCKING FIRE BALLS HE SHOOTS...... FUCK@@@@@ IT IS NOW AN HOUR LATER AND I CAN'T EVEN GET BACK TO WHERE I GOT ON MY FKING 2ND TRY!@!@!@!@!@ WTF!@!@!@!@

For the hard spear wielding guys, i just destroyed all the dogs that the 3 headed dog guy spawned out, and ran over to him before any more dogs spawn, grappled him, and beat the shit outta him... it takes three grapples to kill him however... Little did I know, after you take off the second head... he spawns 2. FML -_-

Lion Claws lvl5 and a lot moving
punch always the cerberus and until he is dead then all mage when he got only 1 head
after that fire all your mage on the blade guys and the cerberus i did that with the nemesis claws
i had the whole thing after about 4 mins finished

I HAVE TRIED OVER 50 TIMES TO BEAT THIS BATTLE. I cannot beat it. This is by far the hardest part. I'm thinking of restarting the whole game again and playing normal mode because in Titan is ridiculous. And i don't want to go to Easy mode.

This is clearly titan mode, and is very affective. But i chose to use blades of exile vs bow and heavy attack when the yellow flash in his mouth appears. roll back kick 2 dogs, repeat. Head was off in less then 1 minute. The trick to the satyrs do exactly the same as the vid you will notice with L1+0 at the end of the attack you close in on enemy if he does not block he usually falls or gets knocked back then heavy attack him he will be dead so fast.

This vid is 100% titan mode, This strategy was great except the bow takes for ever I just used heavy attack blades of exile lvl5 as soon as I saw the yellow flash in his mouth, Had his head off in a minute or less. Attack roll back kick 2 dogs. The satyrs the trick to finish them fast is L1+0 as stated but you will notice you pull in at the end of attack, If he doesnt block at the end he usually falls down then heavy attack L1 triangle.

Part 1 - follow vid
Part 2 - equiped CoH and changed the Soul to Gorgon, immediately summoned and killed satyr while stone. Reverted to the P1 for the Ceberus 2nd head.
Part 3 - used the sheild of sparta once I had equiped BoE followed by rage of sparta meter focusing on the Ceberus as you get health orbs and magic orbs for killing him. Then L1 + O for the Satyrs.
Got it first try using this method and failed about 20 times using the vid method.

YES I FINALLY DID IT...on normal. Here's what I did
Part 1 - Cestus. Hit the cerb when you can and kick the suicide doggies back at him. Don't use Rage of Sparta or magic.
Part 2 - Claws Of Hades. Summon the gorgon soul to stone the satyr. Quickly kill him. Now do the same thing as in step 1
Part 3 - Same as part 2, but use RoS and then use cestus. Hope this helps

if u r good at countering u can do the chain and triangle(heavy) attacks on him tht way u save time and if u get hit counter and use the square reflect to knock him bk a little and keep doing the triangle attack its pretty fast. Also u can throw the dogs at the spear blade dudes and their hp go down much quicker in chaos mode at way but its risky cuz if u grab him by mistake LOL u get cornered easily by the time u do the grapple u r dead.

seriously...punching the shit out of my couch at the moment trying to beat this damn thing. the game overall is pretty fun, but y the FUCK do they make these parts so stupidly hard? i have a growing suspicion (conspiracy?) that the developers don't get no nookie, so they take out their sexual frustrations on us customers/gamers by making these fights that mirror their level of frustration.

i beat this part pretty easily in titan more it took me like less
than 5 minutes
before taking off the first head i just hit em with the celestial things
and then after i used the shield of sparta like a crazy and
took the second one ant the third
i use the rage of sparta and
as for the two guys i kept using L1 O with the claw
of hades and he sends all the souls and when their blocking
just grab em with just keep grabbing them with the second =]

well spiderbite.I have used your walkthroughs so far, but I have to say that
the video "manofpursuit" made is the best way to beat this "boss"
rape the cerberus quick, left with 2 satyrs and I used a hybrid method (dont like gorgon magic)when it was me VS 2 satyrs (I only killed the cerberus)
I used regular blades.when the satyrs were spaced far apart I grappled one of them and mashed O, when the satyrs were close together I used army of sparta.
BOOM!

Chances are that you will be left with two Satyrs. Use the Gorgon soul with the Claws of Hades if you have some magic left and freeze them. If not, its best to use the Cestus and grab them with L1+O and then attack with square combos.

The trick is to get behind the dog and have the small breeders on the other side of you. That way when they explode, they are still doing damage to the Cerberus. DO NOT FACE THE DOG or you will take a lot of damage. Whip out and use the Nemean Cestus AT ALL TIMES. Use the simple SQUARE combos. Evade if you start facing the dog. Stay in back of the dog and attack the side.

Once you weaken it, rip off the first head. Continue to do the same thing as before. Try to keep the small dogs and the Satyr on the other side of you. If you feel like you are being attacked too much and losing health, USE MAGIC and continue attacking the Cerberus. Once you rip off the second head, use the Rage of Sparta and concentrate on the Cerberus with SQUARE attacks. Hit it a few more times and you will be able to rip off the last head.

the blade guys are very very easy to deal with. you just press circle when close to them which makes you grab their blade. then keep pressing circle fast and you hurt them badly. do it three times and the third time kratos takes the blade and shoves it into them. however if you dont rapid press circle they will hurt you

An easier way, use the gorgon seprant soul from the claws of hades to freeze the blade guys to freeze and easily smash them, a lot easier than attacking them repeatedly

70 deaths later I finally got it. What helped me take care of the satyrs was the gorgon serpent soul and freezing them using the claws of hades. With that lil tid bit and this video i finally got it.

i;ve done this in the first try..don't kick the little dogs...just stay behind the big one and the little ones will explode..use magic just at the second head..and the rage of sparta at the last head...this worked for me

First phase.... Arrows... arrows... kill 2 dogs, kick back one (to avoid dogs randomly exploding on you) Second phase use gorgon serpant to freeze the satyr and shatter him. After that 2 dogs come, kill 1 kick 1. Rinse repeat, phase 3 use gorgon serpant shatter one. Use rage and focus 100% on the dog. If done right you should push him to the "press circle" scene. after that finish of the last satyr and you're done.

@Dman9612 You can summon a "gorgon serpent" with the "claws of Hades".
It transfers them into stone for a bit, for you to smash them with the "Nemean Cestus". it makes it a hell of a lot easier.

@000oooo00000000o0 try this. 1 round. right when the big dog spits out those little dogs attack the dog with the L1+Square button about 2-3 times per spitting, do this about 3 or 4 times on the first round and u get to cut the first head off : DD

I hate this fucking battle. It got to the point where its not even fucking fun at all. Its just repetitive and nearly impossible. What were they thiking when they made this? This fight is harder then any of the fucking God Bosses! Those Satyrs dont let yu do anything.

geez finally beat it, took me about an hour to complete.
my tactic ( all main wep maxed, means, no bow and boots shit ) :
p1 : use whips and combo the shit out of that dog, L1 + Square
p2 : use claws and do 2 or 3 times magic attack + arrows ( needs claws maxed ), after that, use rage and focus the dog
p3 : use claws and spam magic till ur mana's done, dog + 1 satyr should be dead by now, easy going then ( just 2 satyrs )
don't forget to use L1 + circle against em

okay i beat this on my 5th try
phase 1: cestus hold L1 and spam square
phase 2: take out blades and use ALL MAGIC (srry nextgentactics no disrespect) and make sure to tap circle
phase 3: use what magic you have left, rage, and repeat step 1.. this will rush you through it killing the dog
