In fact we had a school assembly, I forget who the speaker was, but all he had to do was mention NKOTB by name and we all screamed and the guys sort of booed and hissed. The guy said "do you ever notice how whenever I mention New Kids On The Block the girls all scream and the guys all boo?"? And somebody shouted: "Aww they're just jealous!"
I've loved NKOTB since I was 12 years old. I never really thought of them as much untill I met my fellow 8th garders following year who thought that they were the cat's meow. :)
NKOTB fandom is sort like a sisterhood that guys very rarely understand. I bet the very same guys that I went to school with who hated NKOTB still hate them. LOL!! :)

the guardian has this habit of being really late and hyping losers in music, like last years next big thing that never took off but they don't seem to realise it. oh and they gave the ting tings album 3/5. basically i don't bother reading the music bits unless, you know, i feel like a good cringe.
