You pick one trait of each of your subjects and opposed to handling it with subtlety you TOTALLY overdo it, you run it into the ground. Your Lennon looks just like your Ozzy, your Barry looks just like your Freddie. You are a half ass talent all the way, mate, bloke, blah, blah fucking blah. BORING.
Let's not forget Dylan's extraordinary inventiveness as a lyricist - if it hadn't been for him we'd all still be singing How I long for you, Betty-Lou. Mr Stevie Riks is a musical impersonator of obvious genius, and his take on BD is hilarious.
@beamerZ... Dylan only made one classic album? get some taste and a life while your at it. McCartney wrote very little worth listening to when the beatles broke up and don't get me started on wings. Lennon started writing songs again in response to just how bad mcCartneys solo stuff was. As for Dylan not being able, even he has acknowledged that.
@zacandtaylorrule - I think Stevie's Bob Dylan is amazingly accurate - with an element of comedy, of course. And that's maybe what some people don't like - when their 'idol' is made fun of (as they see it). But I don't think Stevie's parodies are disrespectful, they are just great fun, and very clever to boot. You've got to have a sense of humour to appreciate them ;-))
@expatbritingermany That is how I feel too. I feel like he is not making fun of them but honoring them by imitating them. "Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.:
Well, that's not exactly fair. You can't base Dylan's entire career on his latest CD. Arguably, his best stuff was from the 60's. Stevie does brilliant tributes to Lennon and McCartney. (Listen to Stevie's STAND BY ME for an ex.) Why not at least one serious Dylan cover? By the way, why is it that when someone gives you a thumbs down that your message is suddenly no longer visible?
I am not judging Dylan's indisputably amazing career on one album. But I do think that many 'past their sell-by date' singers still sell CDs because of who they are and not what they are still able to produce today. But that's OK.
Stevie does some more 'serious' parodies and some more light-hearted ones - that's his artistic licence, I suppose, to portray people as he sees them. Some celebrities lend themselves more easily to 'fun' videos than others.
Somebody has been complaining that Stevie does not treat Bob Dylan with the same 'respect' as he does other singers. I don't agree. You can't expect an artist like Stevie to treat every subject matter in exactly the same way (that would be boring). Neither do I think that this portrayal is disrespectful. I just listened to Dylan's latest CD yesterday, and I have to say a lot of it is probably only successful because he is such an icon. I think Stevie's parody hits the nail right on the head!
Try and not use Dylan's 1966 voice for every song of his. It would also be nice if you did a serious Dylan song. Some of your serious Lennon and McCartney tributes are quite moving. Dylan deserves as much.
I love ur version of Blowing In The Wind Steve, (Growing in the bin) lol We named our dog Dylan cos our other dog Lilly was singing The Times, They Are A Changing as we brought him home! hehehe

This comment has received too many negative votes show
Lennon and McCartney could sing and made a lot of classic albums; Dylan only made one and can't sing for shit. The only thing he's good at is rhyme.
Nowadays Dylan is a living parody of himself and an arrogant hasbeen.
