Mine had now started making a clicking sound inside - you know, that hard drive kind of clicking sound that usually pre-empts a total hard drive failure - this after a month of ownership. Not cool, and Samsung#'s customer serive is so impossible to use that I have no idea what I am going to with this.

May I add something else - since using a Bluetooth USB headset, I can no longer get audio from the internal speakers or when regular headphones are plugged in. It recognizes that they are plugged in, it even shows little audio levels moving up and own but doesn't actually output any audio. So now I have to listen to everything through a mono-channel earpiece. Great.

These are the kind of everyday uses that Apple really understands where PCs fail always, even now.

The trackpad cannot 'flick' either like Mac can - this means laboriously dragging, moving fingers down, dragging, moving fingers down. Amazing they didn't get this stuff ironed out before releasing this onto the market. So, all in all, I really want to like this laptop but the trackpad and the poor screen are major let downs. It is also a highly plasticy laptop, only about a third of it is alumnium

The screen is indeed quite bad - the MacBook Pro screen is way better. It pains me to say this, I had so many hopes pinned on this Samsung but it fails in many very important ways. The screen is dark, milky, has to be viewed straigh on or looks bad. I have found too that you cannot completely dim the screen like you can on an Apple, so if you want to watch a movie

on a larger external monitor, you cannot dim the laptop monitor. Cont...

The trackpad on this thing is almost unuseable; Apple may be bad but their touch technology was perfect. This track pad will dbl-click without you wanting it to, drag items around, draw boxes around things, highlight everything on a page, moves files and favourites around, it also has a weird effect of going 'back' through web pages. If you are typing something, then of cousre you lose it all. Cont....

Ha ha! As I was tying here what is wrong with the trackpad on these Samsung, it did what it does and deleted my post and sent me back 2 pages! LOL. Losing all the data I just typed - annoying? Just you wait. I am sorry Apple, you were not so bad... I will type up in full in notepad then copy and paste.

I brought this laptop to replace my 4 yr old Fujitsu and I am very very impressed with this laptop.

I use it for 3D content creation and rendering and it's very responsive for what I am doing.

The screen is capable of withstanding many outdoor lighting conditions.

To me, Speed and Screen size is my ticket and this laptop fulfills it very very well.

I was actually very close to buying an alienware but this laptop completely blows the M14X out the window price, power AND Screen size wise to me.

Just picked one up - Love it! However, the graphics are bundled with intel - This I would assume wouldn't be an issue, however, updating drivers is almost impossible unless drivers are delivered from Samsung. Unfortunately the drivers are about 2 months outdated, which basically means BF3 and other games that require the most up to date video drivers are out of the question. Further, samsung has locked down the software that changes the video cards so you have to use their crapware... meh ಠ_ಠ

@Psypherion huh, I'm not sure why you and a lot of other people are disliking its screen. It's anti-glare and it's its feature to be not as sharp-looking & reflective as other laptops' screens. That was one of the main reasons I bought it. You seem confused, buddy.
