  • Wow, Hot stuff brother, I thought I was hot shit with my 1997 S1 Lightning, but after seeing yours I'm gonna have to step it up.

I hate my swing arm, what model did you get that one of yours off of?I also dig your headlights, do tell what are they from?

You know when you post something that nice you become the new expert! Thanks for posting!

  • Thank you! ;)

  • Sorry for late reply...Thank you for your comments ;)

The swing arm is off an 2003 Buell XB, I made custom bearing spacer adapters to fit it into the early tube frame. It uses standard S3 swing arm bearings is fitted as per stock swing arm. I had to remove the battery and lay it down like in an X1 Buell then make a shock mount behind the rear cylinder. The headlight is off an XB Lightning as is the front end.

    Thanks again

  • hi...my compliments it is a masterpiece

just a question, how did u work out with the swingarm ? thanks may i have some foto?

  • WOW!

Nice! Killer to have ZTL brakes on an S1.

    Any information on your conversion?

  • Thanks Mate ;)

I have fitted the complete front end off of a 2003 XB Lightning. I had to shorten the steering stem to suit, you could get a new one made but that is up to you. I have seen on the Badweb others have made brackets to fit the caliper and bearing spacers etc.

  • What muffler and Jet kit do you have, I have a 97 Cyclone M2 with cyclinderspolished ported, Race igntion module and coil wires etc..a Supertrapp I want to dump. but with open pipe it runs lean so I will have to put a Stage 1 Jet at least. Do you have any ideas.

    Best Regards,

    Mark Z

  • The muffler is home made, from 2 car hot dogs. I have since made another muffler which can be heard on my other riding video. My engine is stock and runs a 195 main and a 45 idle jet. Idle mixture screw is wound out 2.5turns. I have the Buell race ignition unit also. Runs great and has around 80,000klm's on it never had the heads off. :) I have big plans for the engine one day....when the cash come's in!..........

    Cheers

  • Nice work, I have an 00 M2 that I have done ALOT of work on. XB headllights X-1 tail custom seat and so on. Did you use the XB forks aswell for fitting that front wheel? Now that I see the swing-arm used I may go that way to. Again great build and keep up the good work!!!!

  • marvada

  • Thank you :) I tied to make it look factory. Shit loads of mods to make the swingarm work in the tube frame! I am running the oil in the swingarm. Handles excellent and much more comfort than the old underslung poggo stick. If you have access to Rapid bikes magazine April issue it is featured in it. Cheers

    Jodie

  • Beautiful

  • Groovy Joe ! - the seat looks too comfortable ;) Does it handle any different?

I suggest you do tuber Ulysses next, - go on you know you want too - make it a proper offer roader with 1450 motor whilst you are at it :)

  • Looks shit hot mate
