The reason people HATE drum solos is that most drummers are under the assumption that fast is awesome...If you watch alot of the famous drummers the have melodic and astesticly pleasing sections to their solos...there are ALOT of drummers who are fast...but few who can make their drum set TALK....

@rgd1993 Theyre usually not even great. Thats what makes me mad. They go out and buy a huge lower line set and can hardly play yet. KIds like that just need a basic 4 or 5 piece set to get good on, not some terrible sounding monster set haha.

@Underscore2112 I agree for several reasons. You can get a reasonably priced intermediate level set today and have it sound much better than a huge set that is cheap. . This vid is a great exp. They have so many colors that they stick to single stroke 16ths. I often use a 4 tom, 3 snare, so I'm not bashing having more than a 4 or 5, but when you get into the realm of monster kits musicality begins to go down the drain in less experienced drummers and they become dependent on the number of drums.
