Receiving cows milk does not harm the cow, just as receiving an apple from a tree does not kill the tree. Jainism will not take a potato however because to do so kills the plant since you cut the roots to take a potato

You are wrong. Once a female of any species BEGINS producing milk with her first born, the mother can continue producing milk for her ENTIRE LIFE so long as she does not stop being milked or sucked on.
You need to learn much more before you open your mouth. In some indigenous cultures, HUMAN females produce milk their entire lives as they continue to milk baby monkeys to keep themselves lactating for life. Females do not stop giving life, it is their job.
What's voilent is anybody's opinion. So it's the practice of comitting no concious act of violence. Simply by breathing your taking oxygen away from others, and creating more carbon monoxide.
