Tornado runs through downtown Austin, Texas (5/14/08)

I know that in such condition it becomes tough to shoot a video, but still it was good. I think the video looks a bit dark. If the light was enough, it would have been better.

Yes, it appears to be a small tornado. Not big enough to cause major damage and I don't think it's big enough to be called a F1 either? Pretty cool though.

not a tornado, at least in the scene provided. It really does not matter, straight line winds can cause just as much damage as a tornado. "rjmetal" is correct.

I personally have see twisters last a few minutes.

Once i was camping in in TN i believe and two twisters hovered above the state park for about 10mins, didnt even move much.

Had about 40 campers in the girls bathroom in the park.

That look like a microburst (I believe that's what you call it.) Alot of freaking high wind. We had one of these a few years ago. Winds were reported up to around 80 or 90 mph and blew a roof off a guys house when he was sitting in the living room.

Great footage. If you look at how the rain is blowing you see that there was definitely a cyclonic pattern. It could very well have been a weak tornado. Downburst winds would not cause the rain the blow in different directions.

I have been in a couple of bad storms in my life. In fact, I was in a ridiculously bad t-storm once in Pennsylvania in August about 40 minutes south of Pittsburgh. And it was sick. but you know what? It was NOT as crazy as this one. Man that was nuts! definitely a tornado right?
