Literally the coolest thing I have ever seen. As soon as that pre-order goes up, my credit card is coming out of my wallet! Keep up the awesomely good work!
@ehabcharek The website does seem a bit sparse on details... But as I understand it, the bottom of the machine is filled with a pool of liquid resin, and underneath there's a display projector. The light from the projector causes the resin to cure. The print bed moves upward, pulling the printed material out of the liquid and allowing the next cross-section to be printed.
I'm very much looking forward to see this commercially available! I don't care if its not open source as long as its affordable enough. Just don't rob us on the consumables! But seriously. Great work.
I want to know how much! The idea of printing 3d is gonna revolutionize everything as you know it! I would use it to make parts for cars. What kind of substances is your capable of using?
That whole set up looks pretty simple. I am guessing the optics part of it is the hard part and the software interface as well. If a guy has a lone z-axis drive...thats all that's needed along with a software program to display pictures line upon line. Can't wait for the release. Let us know the cost of the software...that is phenomenal.
@oliveirajose That is awesome news! I really like the direction you are taking your idea/project. Do you have a projected price range you are aiming for?
Regarding the software, are the support sprues automatically generated?

Holy poop. Is it some sort of crt-oscilliscope that draws crossections to cure the resin? I'm really impressed!

Excellent print! Can you tell us the date of start of sales of the final version of the printer? And I would like to know its approximate cost.
It would be great if it was possible print the model size 30x30x50cm!
