season 5 was idols best season ever! its been going downhill ever since and now the show is dead for me. lets hope american x factor will give up many more years of saula though =) would be nice if they are still on TV doing their thing around 2020 :) idol was never gonna last that long but if x factor becomes a hit, which it will, it could be around for many many years, since its a new fresh format, unlike idol

funny how since you wrote this comment that you cannot imagine American Idol without Paula and Simon, Both of them have left Idol. She left 2009, he left 2010... But they will most likely be be reunited on American X factor next year. So its all good :)
