  • cool version of this - huge production number - in the movie Give My Regards to Broadstreet.

  • Has this song ever been used on "Dancing with the Stars"?

  • I got a Tug Of War LP :D

  • The power of the Internet. I just had a phrase stuck in my head, was reminded of a song by... someone. Looked it up on Youtube and came straight to here. Total time, about twenty seconds.

  • THE BEST

  • A killer bass line and damned catchy tune.

  • a todos lo que amamos esta epoca de Paul ♥

  • 64 people couldnt find a better version on youtube.

  • i love this song i had a hard time getting it but i got a copy

  • 1:26 god, I love that! :D

  • One of my favorite tunes of Paul's as a solo artist.

  • John paul jones does the bass on this song

  • @slappytheclown1 No, he doesn't appear at all on this album. Here, Paul plays bass, drums, guitar and vocals.

  • this song is so fucking awesome :D

  • Definetly doesn´t get any closer to the beatles age, but is a nice song anyway :)

  • real Latino women here rockmycity.info

  • @cjsima You are certainly entitled to your opinion, but darling one, Paul would be the first to tell you that John was a wonderful man, and talented musician. Had his faults as do we all. But no need to say mean things about dead people. Wow.

  • I love paul McCartney

    Pete

  • @aecregent874 that's Sir Paul to you! ha ha

  • God I love this song! It's so catchy!

  • Like the song except for the "Big BD" lyric. Corny

  • @adater There was a show on British TV at the time that was an ongoing ballroom dancing competition. That's what inspired Paul to write this song. The "Big BD" bit was a parody of the show's theme song.

  • I always liked this song - has he ever played it live???

  • This was Paul's second post-Wings album. The first was McCartney II where Paul played all the instruments. On this album, Paul had different "guest stars" on every track, including Stevie Wonder and Carl Perkins. Ringo even drummed on several tracks. Michael Jackson was supposed to be on this album too, but Paul held that track (Say, Say Say) for his next album. Paul orginally wanted both John and George to "guest star" on some tracks, but John was killed and George declined.

  • wasn't 'wings' just the backing band? It was all Paul

  • Comment removed

  • agreed

  • I consider this LP to be the last official LP to have the "wings" sound as we remember it.

  • @ebayboycotters from all mcartney´s cds; this is the best indeed.

  • @ebayboycotters Interesting, since Paul really wanted to get away from his "Wings sound" on this album. That's why he brought in so many guest musicians (Stevie Wonder, Carl Perkins, Ringo etc.) and got George Martin to produce it.
