I don't know that I'd be singing Sand Castles to a girl, no matter how delicious, when she decides taking helicopter keys and tossing them on a beach is a good idea. I might sing to somebody who hides them somewhere and knows where to find them.

Till then, I'd be frantically looking for the missing keys and thinking about drowning that girl and cooking her over an open fire for heat and protein if matters got worse.

I have always loved this beatiful Elvis song why oh why did they cut It from the movie. Does anyone know if this song was in fact filmed for the movies. and what about all the other Elvis songs which were cut from his films, were this songs in fact filmed?? I have always wondered if all the songs which were cut from most Elvis movies were in fact filmed. It would be great if all these cut songs were released on DVD.

Great to see this song on here; I've always loved it. It was on the Paradise Hawaiian Style album, but never made it to the film. Why? I'll never know.

@OffyDoavy -----in january 1966, i saw a "sneak preview" of the unreleased elvis movie "paradise..hawaiian style". the song , "sand castles" was in the movie. this was in los angeles. it was cut when the film was released in summer of 1966.

@jload1 It was actually cut from the film...It was filmed when Elvis was stranded overnight with his Girlfriend and the little girl he was babysitting......shame as its the best track on the soundtrack..

@HOGEFAN I believe it was AFTER she chucked the key.... I think there are stills showing Elvis and the little girl asleep with her head on his knee...there is a camp fire in front of them... hopefully this clip will show up one day... I love the song.
