I totally agree with this

Everybody says it's better for grip but I don't have any problem gripping a straight jack. I own a pair of senns and my ipod's audio out port is fucked up due to having to put pressure on the port wierdly when taking them out

No doubt about that. Sennheiser is the best. CX300 II easily overcomes headphones that cost even 150 dollars. Great punchy overall sound.
