And why did he release the stand before getting on ? I see it was on its centre stand but bikes also have a side stand. He should put the side stand on if he's height challenged then get on then release the stand.

a few reasons, the tarmac in that spot was new and still setting also his knee gave way to an old bike related injury and the bike is a fat bastard bike and weighs a tonne lol

Oh. Didn't know the pavement was still setting. My bike is pretty large too (but still sporty) and I wouldn't ever hold its weight and swing my leg over (I'm not short either). My old 250 cc sports (very low to the ground) I would without a problem. I've even seen guys with big bikes like that one where the rider hops on (centre stand and all) and makes a forwards motion which rocks it off the stand and down on to the wheels.

Yep seen ppl do that, apparently this is the approved BMW method as they designed a hold just below the seat its a weight / fulcrum point issue if I remember. Also that bike was so heavy I was unable to lift it on my own he had to hop and help me lol

OMG my brother done that when he got his first bike...but the bike just landed on his foot which was disappointin lol. still funny to watch him swearing and offending a small child as he and his mother walked by.

OMG i never think that fast. i was in wales right, and i admit my black and white stripy jacket did stand out a bit...so a lot of people were giving me weird looks. Then this bloke walks down the high street completely naked (a bit drunk after a football game)and hardly no one gives him second look...only after the event i think i should of filmed it and put it on youtube....lol being weird sorry =/..=D lol
