Maybe it's origins were in the Beatnik subculture but as Mods embraced change & a fast living life style they eventually 'morphed' into something else. Working class kids that wanted to look cool but could never live up to the 'image' would never have heard of Sartre or existentialism. We've had 2 so called Mod Revivals since then. Once in the late 70's & then again in the mid 90's with the rise of BritPop essentially diluting and changing the original Mod idea.
Well i had a vespa 150 gps, loved the mod scene. Never has fashion been as good, or as exciting. I was part of the incrowd in liverpool centre.
