I had to search for a video that didn't have disabled comments...the buffalo bean you asked about I had seen in an asian market under the label water caltrop.
i went to a japanese restaurant not too long ago and tasted like the size of a needle head on a grain of rice and it burned.... and i can take hot :Plol
anyway love your videos you've got great stuff ^-^
wasabi is actualy white not green, the stuff you get thats green has dye in it. How do i know? because on the cook and the chef and they went to a wasabi farm.
Irony at its finest, the hot sensation is actually the plants defense mechanism (duh) and then we go eat the plant for that very same reason (same with chilli's).
Lol in year 4 I did a japanese course thing and at the end of the year we went to a resteraunt, I thought the wasabi was a traditional after dinner mint lol boy was I wrong.
The red chili paste is "Sriracha" right? Just a footnote to another great vid---it's pronounced "See-ra-cha" (3 distinct syllables). "Racha" part of the word is really the same as the Indian word "raja".
I just typed in "dipping sauce" cuz i was board

If you are going to cook something......you think about how the people will think about it.....not how you like it...

Seared ahi tuna would be so good with this. I would rather use that wasabi from the tube though, I don't ever get that "burn" from wasabi powder.
