im building an 9 inch ,bloody nitemare,does anyone know how to bend a throatplate to fit a firebox .ITS not the maths ,ive got that,its the tecniuque..ive got 400 pounds worth of steel,and im at a loss as how i shape it to fit.books dont help.even the rev fred dibnah is not around to help me HELP !!!!
you spend many an hour in your workshop with a pint in one hand drawings in the other working on each component until you have sufficient to assemble the finish product my engine is about half way through now and i have been at it for around ten years

You can buy them made up or build them yourself. It is road legal and needs a tax disc but it is free

Depends. If you want a fully assembled one then try Station Road Steam. If your intrested in engeneering go for the Castings from Double B Designs or
