for fuck sake since the movie came out and i heard this song during the "orachard chase" scene i have liked it and have been looking for i was not familiear with the band or song so it was hard to find but now i know thumbs up if you know what i mean
love this movie...seen it about 5 times...i share a hometown with Dillinger and my grandmother dated his cousin in high school...she actually met Dillinger on many occasions...even she couldn't think of a better song to portray that man...hello from Mooresville Indiana!!!
@MrLeadfoot01 im not entirely sure...ive been to the residence he grew up in... i believe the family currently living there is distantly related to them... ill have to look into that more
@acdcgnrarwsmth WOW thatsssss effin AWESOME! i love john dillnger hes one of my fav criminals of all timeee :) this movie about dillinger + depp= ultimate awesomeness
Johnny Depp as Dillinger, dressed in a 3-piece with a long coat and fedora, gloves, and a Tommy gun; jumping a counter and robbing a bank, barking orders and giving girls--single and taken--the up-down with this song playing all the while. You couldn't make a scene any more badass. As soon as he jumped that counter the needles in the badass gauges maxed out so hard that they were in danger of snapping right off.
@Vortez137 i'm more of a L.A. Noire myself i'm all into the 1940's yet red dead was better because of the free roam L.A. Noire for a better plot and dlc's. Like honestly zombies are getting old... fast. Still both outstanding games and both got 5/5 on G4 reviews
I watched this movie without knowing anything about it. I kept thinking, this reminds me of Heat (1995)-the best cops and robbers movie of all time. At the end, when I saw who produced this movie, I should have known that Michael Mann was behind this one as well. Great flick if you have a chance to watch it.
Tribute to John Dillenger. Through the conditions of the Depression, he solved financial problems by burning records of debt owed by the poor. Long live.
@runiggarunrunrun ya i think so too my dad was an officer for lapd and he was involved in a big ass bank robbery in 1997 and told me he was scared shitless and still is
@Aerosmith589 iT was pointless and to long.. Not enough action, no climax, The Protagonist is actually the antagonist, Hollywood depicted him as a good caring man, to make the audience feel more sympathy for him, but in reality he was a bruteful person who shot multiple cops and citizens.
@counterstrikenerd321 Well everyone has their reasons for liking or disliking a movie, it's what makes us different. Some people like something, others hate it, it's nature.
@counterstrikenerd321 You need to understand the setting of the film before you downsize it. The time was of the Great Depression, when people had nothing and had no trust or respect for the government, so they looked up to John Dillinger, the man who disobeyed the law and did it his way. Back then the antagonists was politics, and the protagonists were the rebels. This film tells he great story of that time. You should maybe really understand a story before you criticize it.
@hurricanesofhell John Dillinger died first then Charles Floyd then Babyface Nelson. a year or so later the Barker Gang was shot up/imprisoned and Alvin Karpis was sent to Alcatraz...He eventually got out and did consultation work for the book this movie was based on.
@MegaPokerMon He died first O_o.. hmm weird.. poor dillinger :( not that i prefer Charles Floyd to go first i like them all.. i do think this movie on john dillinger was good :( but i would have liked the deaths to be in order and just a faithful movie. >_> but i did enjoy it. :)
I love the soundtrack. I liked the movie too, the shooting scenes were just a little too long for me. It got boring when there was no lines (or maybe something like: "Johnny!" somewhere in between) and everybody was just running around and shooting at each other.
this song makes me want to get a tommy gun and start shooting things.
