  • En idioma zapoteco la Danza de la Pluma se denomina zahatoviguetza, que se traduce por fiesta (zaha) de plumas (tovi) brillante, colorista (guetza) (3), lo que refleja el efecto causado por los danzantes «al brincar con tal ritmo y viveza que semejan aves de bello plumaje»
