The idea to write Heart Shaped Box came from the character Blanche in Tennessee William's play A Street Car Named Desire. Blanche had a heart shaped box with a seahorse pin. This is also why Kurt Cobain drew a seahorse in his journal.

( @ 0.56) just to be fair tho, she takes a scandulous amount of breaths ( like Ba - (breath) -by's Breath . . . (0.45) But She sounds better on her worst day than Me Always!! Long Live Evanescence.
