i LOVED clark and alicia...from the begining of this eppy i knew she didn't do it...im sure thousands of otha ppl did too...but im just saying...and i HATE tht when clana is about to have their first time in the barn clarks all like "its only been you"....UGH!!! i literally was like "WTF!?!? YOU LOVED ALICIA TOO!! YOU ALMOST KILLED SOMEONE FOR HER!! DON'T LIE TO LANA LIKE THAT!!!!!" oh well...
The Kents, Lana, Lois, and everyone else, except for Chloe, get me soo pissed in this episode because they all never apologized to Clark for what they said about Alicia. I mean I'm sure that they did but they never show it on the screen, except for Chloe of course, and that is a mistake if you ask me.
@MichaelDeFeo18 I agree, though I think that it wasn't the focus of the episode. Moreso, how were they supposed to comfort him properly without being hypocritical - you can SEE in this scene how they're trying to find the right words to say, and they don't use ones like 'what happened was a terrible thing', etc.
I get annoyed when people become self-righteous, as if they know what's best just because THEY feel it is - that SV is a more TOLERABLE example of this says a LOT.
@MichaelDeFeo18 I'm annoyed with the Kents and Lois especially because I like them so much. Lana not so much - that self-centred hypocritish twit can do what she wants. I mean to say, she CAN be nice, but holds herself up as more important than others when it pleases her, and her chiding Clark for lying is weak when she herself lies as well.
Not that I HATE her per se, but with how the writers and characters act like she's so pure and perfect when she's NOT is a bloody pain in my rear end.
@MichaelDeFeo18 ~ Well, I don't think that CK ever had ANY perspective when it came to the girls he "loved." He kept dating Alicia AFTER she drugged him and tried to force him to marry her/ have sex, against his will! But, HE acts like that is NO big deal. Imagine if a guy had roofied a girl like that?! THEN Lana lies, sleeps with Lex... and Bizarro, but Clark says in Season 7, that EVERYTHING Lana did wrong is HIS FAULT!?! Alicia mistreated him, so did Lana, but he Never ENDED with either!
@luckyjasonfan hey hey hey...alicia came to her senses...(im not even gonna start with lana cause..well...clana isn't in a good spot with me)....i mean yes wat she did was wrong...but she rlly did love clark and she took it off finally bc she wanted it to be rite...and rmbr..she also said tht she thinks it just lowers his ambitions...im an alicia fan...so im a lil bias too....
To me this was the saddest and most heartbreaking scene in the whole series because Alicia was telling the truth and no one believed her, not even Clark until it was too late, and because of it Alicia died with the knowledge that her love, Clark, didn't believe her. And Clark had to live with that knowledge because he made a lot of mistakes in life as well but he was forgiven. But what really makes me mad is they never referred to Alicia again in the series.
@KyodaiKen1979 yes true but to me with the relationship that Clark and Alicia had "just having Lana ask Clark if he ever slept with Alicia" wasn't sufficient to the relationship that Clark and Alicia had. Throughout the series she could have been brought up but never was, and they had such a strong love but Clark throws it off like it was nothing, at least that's my opinion.
This is one of the best and worst episodes ever. Best, because Alicia's death got me all choked up, and Chloe finally learned Clark's secret--a major turning point. Clark would never have been able to do so much without Chloe's help. Worst, because Clark goes gaga over Lana yet again and he never mentions Alicia (even though, he was supposed to have been in love with her). Also, I think Clark owes Alicia some credit, since she told Chloe his secret. Clark, you FOOL!
yeah i had to put smallville away after seeing the whole "alicia baker trilogy." it made me quite upset. i still love smallville but gosh thos three episodes ruined it for a few months.

Couldn't Kents show Clark their support BEFORE Alicia was killed?
KyodaiKen1979 1 year ago 5
@KyodaiKen1979 they should have. Man Alicia was such a great character I'm pissed that they got rid of her so soon.

I wonder how it would feel to have that kind of power? The freedom. The happiness it would bring.

Yeah, that is true. I know the show is fake, but you still have to feel bad for him, because the one you love could die in real life.
funnyjerk94 2 years ago
I wonder how that would feel, knowing that the person who you love is dead.

You'd feel like you couldn't go one loving anyone ever again....I guess
