  • Hey there Casey--a great way to get the bouffant area large without teasing or bach-combing is to take the inside section of it and create a large barrel-roll pin curl and then pin a smooth section over that to hide it. You can also use a rat :-)

  • what did you do with your hair in the "violets are purple" blog post? i love it!!

  • @broadwaybound121492 It's similar to the "working girl" hairstyle video I posted today. The front is the same, but in the back I just twisted it up into a horizontal coil and pinned it like crazy! ;)

  • this tutorial is so much fun! i love it and you are too cool! i have really thick hair too---i found a boar bristled hairbrush helps immensely for backcombing (and it saves me from having to do it over and over again--my arms like that hehe). <3

  • You should do an old hollywood curls/waves video. I've been trying to master it and it's just not working and I feel like you'd be really good at doing that look!

  • @iwtlhs112 I have been getting a TON of requests for a look like this recently! Shall have to keep that in my "to do" list for videos... ;)

  • Do you have any suggestions for untangling the backcombed parts of the hair? I always find that to be the most difficult part.

  • @my10intellects I either gently brush out the backcombing, or I'll be sure to wait to do a backcombed style until one of the days I wash my hair--conditioner really helps release the tangles! :)

  • This hairdo kind of reminds me of the gals from The Ronettes :)

  • :D i tried this!!! Its so cute! I love it soooo much :) thank you! Haha

  • Would you be able to do a vintage makeup look for evening wear? or for Going out in please?

    <3

  • @AutysaurandCo I will certainly consider it!!! :)

  • :) i love your lipstick and the hairstyle im going to try it!!! Haha love your blog btw :)

  • Hey there Casey, thanks for this great tutorial (:

But I was wondering if you could give us tips to have as beautiful hair as yours, they seem so healthy.

    Love, Morgane.

  • have you ever dyed your hair?

  • @fztrule Yes, I dyed it red with henna late last year. :)

  • beautiful!! :0) Love the tutorial!

  • I read that you told another commenter that you are wearing Revlon's Kiss Me Coral. I have that lipstick too and I love it!! I love this 1960s hairstyle, even though I have short curly hair. Can you do a 1960s day makeup look and another 60s hairstyle for us with short hair? :)

  • @AdorableFlapper36 I'd love to do a makeup look--in fact I've been working on an idea for one! ;) Unfortunately, I have very little experience with short hair (my hair has been short only a few times!), so I won't be able to do a short hair tutorial though. I'm sorry! :(

  • Love your makeup and hair tuts!! Thankyou for sharing your skills;-)

  • Love the lip color you are wearing what is it?

  • @littlemissdaydream25 It's Revlon's "Kiss Me Coral". :)

  • this is absolutely adorable :)

  • I love the shirt you are wearing! The collar, the buttons, the lace-beautiful! Unfortunately I can't wear anything like that because it will just draw even more attention to my bust. :/

  • @SpanishHazel Thank you! :) It's a little 60s blouse I picked up at an estate sale last year. ;)

  • Hey lady...very pretty style!

  • You should do a Brigitte Bardot hairstyle. Thumbs up if you agree! :]

(Btw I love the simplicity and easy to follow instructions of your videos and your style is lovely!)

  • It goes straight to my favourites. I actually like it a lot right before you do the ponytail.

  • This looks really good! I'd love to wear it to my graduation but my hair is too short :-/

  • HD Awesome

  • i love how versatile your videos are. Edwardian one week, 1960s the next! This is lovely

  • Cute! Totally reminds me of Brigitte Bardot! :)

  • what kind of hairspray are you using?

  • @MARLENIAMOSLEY I'm just using an Aussie brand hairspray--not my favorite! I prefer the Tresseme line of hairsprays.

  • Thank you for the tutorial, it looks very easy and can't wait to try it.

  • I love watching your vids! They're perfect! :D

  • I love thissssssssss I totally Love the 60s, i really like your style. Thankyou
